Car buyers in 2024 are expected to get a slew of options when it comes to new car launches. For those interested in sedans, we have prepared a list of upcoming models which include new-gen cars, EVs, facelifts of popular models, and even performance-oriented sedans. Take a look at this list -

Like the new Swift hatchback, the new Dzire will get similar styling changes. Despite being a new-gen model, the sub-4m car is expected to retain its exterior design as the current model. The sedan will also debut with the new Z-Series engine and get a new dual-tone dashboard layout, an updated infotainment system, and come equipped with additional features.

The last Octavia to bear the RS badge was the RS 245 back in 2020. With a 245 PS motor, the car was the choice for enthusiasts who wanted performance as well as the practicality of a daily driver. The 2024 Octavia RS 245 is based on the fourth generation of the popular sedan and is expected to be brought in limited numbers. While confirmed powertrain details are not yet available, we reckon the RS 245 will pack in quite a punch.

It is expected that the Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia might receive a model year update for 2024. These sedans had their market debuts back in 2021. Some of the new updates could potentially include new colour options, updates to special editions and minor cosmetic tweaks. That said, the most significant revision could be the inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to stay competitive in their respective segments. Skoda-Volkswagen is likely to retain the existing powertrain configurations without alterations for both the Slavia and Virtus.

The Ioniq 6 is based on the same E-GMP platform as the Ioniq 5 already on sale in India. However, the sedan is unlike any other from the Hyundai stable and gets a sleek, low-slung appearance, retro styling elements, and a minimalist interior. The Ioniq 6 was also showcased back in the 2023 Indian Auto Expo in a single motor, rear-wheel-drive configuration with a claimed maximum range of 610 km.

Citroen is expected to launch the C3X sedan-crossover in 2024. Based on the CMP modular platform like the C3 and the C3 Aircross, the car will get both ICE and EV versions. It will get a similar features set and powertrain options like the C3 and C3 Aircross. Citroen could also launch the all-electric variant of the C3X crossover with a larger battery pack thanthe eC3 hatchback.
