 TVS Electric Scooter Launching Tomorrow

  • It is expected to look like a sportier version of the Jupiter.
  • It could get a fixed lithium-ion battery and offer a range of around 80km.
  • We expect it to be priced around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).

TVS’s electric scooter will launch in India tomorrow. TVS had first shown its intentions of going electric back in 2018 when it showcased the Creon electric concept at the Auto Expo. Since then, the electric scooter has been seen testing a couple of times.

Based on images of the test mules, it appears that the electric scooter will be a sportier, all-electric variant of the Jupiter. While the test mule features bulbous rear panels like TVS’ popular scooter, it does get a sharper front end for a sportier look. Its electric motor is expected to offer performance comparable to 110cc scooters. But since the test mule seemed to accelerate quite briskly, TVS could have a surprise or two for us tomorrow. Like the Creon, the upcoming TVS electric scooter could get a fixed battery pack and offer a range of 80km. In addition to this, TVS could equip it with fast charging capability too.
