Jeep Sells 25k Compass SUVs, Launches Bedrock Edition

The Bedrock Edition is based on the “Sport” variant, and is available with the diesel engine only

Jeep’s Compass is single-handedly turning the tide for FCA in India. The numbers are proof, too. The brand has sold 25,000 units of the SUV in under a year. For a brand with limited presence, that’s a huge feat.

To celebrate the milestone, Jeep’s got a return gift in store. It’s called the Compass Bedrock Edition that’s priced at Rs 17.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Compared to the Sport variant it’s based upon, it’s priced at a premium of Rs 98,000. The added moolah gets you added features such as black 16-inch alloy wheels, a side step, black roof rails and some Bedrock decals on the outside. Inside the cabin, there’s no extra equipment save for the addition of a parking camera. Subtler updates include Bedrock-branded seat covers and “premium” floor mats.

Notably, the Bedrock Edition can be had with the 2.0-litre Multijet diesel only, that develops 173PS of power and 350Nm of torque. Since the limited edition is based on the Sport variant, there’s no 4x4 on offer.
