Fiat India Automobiles Pvt Ltd (FIAPL), a joint venture between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Tata Motors, has resumed operations at its plant based in Ranjangaon. This announcement comes amid the implementation of multiple safety and hygiene standards. Most importantly, visitors and workers have to resort to a daily health check-up.

The daily health check-up will include a temperature check every time visitors and workers enter or exit the facility. They will also have to complete a self-questionnaire which has to be submitted digitally.
A number of sanitization measures such as cleaning, disinfecting, and social distancing have been put in place to prevent spread and transmission of the coronavirus.

To enforce these measures, a 50-member task force has been set up to make sure that the guidelines are implemented for the smooth functioning of the plant.
FIAPL will continue to monitor the implementation of the guidelines and make appropriate changes as per government directives. The Ranjangaon-based facility houses the production line for vehicles such as the Jeep Compass.
