Authorised dealerships have started accepting bookings for the automatic variant of the Hyundai Creta petrol model. The recently introduced transmission on the Creta (petrol) will be available with the SX+ variant of the compact SUV. Expected to be priced at around Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), one can book a Hyundai Creta for a token amount of Rs 25,000, according to a source.
The new variant is set to start deliveries by the beginning of the festive period this year. The new variant already has a waiting period of 4-5 months, the source further added.
The automatic petrol Creta will feature the same 6-speed automatic transmission as used in the diesel variant. The SX+ petrol model of the Creta is powered by a 1.6-litre four cylinder VTVT engine that produces 123PS of power at 6400 rpm and 150Nm of peak torque at 4850 rpm.
Feature-wise, the SX+ automatic petrol model will have projector headlamps, chrome grille, chrome door handles, smart key with push button start, automatic climate control, electrically folding OVRMs and a rear viper.
The company will also be introducing an automatic diesel option in the S+ mid-variant of the Creta. Up till now, the Creta was available with an automatic option only in the SX+ diesel model. Hyundai has already updated the official website with the new variants and is expected soon to have an official price announcement.
