You Can Now Book The Facelifted Jaguar F-Pace Ahead Of Its May Launch

The F-Pace, with its mid-life update, first debuted overseas in September 2020

  • Gets subtle updates to the exterior, including revised LED lighting and a new bonnet.

  • The most significant addition is that of a larger 11.3-inch infotainment system.

  • Will be offered with both diesel and petrol powertrains and (possibly) optional mild-hybrid tech.

Back in September 2020, the Jaguar F-Pace got a mid-life refresh, but its availability was limited to the international markets. Now, the carmaker is set to bring the updated SUV here in India, by May 2021. Bookings for the same have begun as well.

Updates on the outside come in the form of a new grille, sleeker LED headlights with J-shaped DRLs, and a revised bonnet. The changes run all the way to the back of the car, with the rear now sporting updated tail lights and exhaust tips.

That said, the most significant addition to the F-Pace is inside it.

And that is a larger 11.4-inch infotainment system with the latest Pivo software version. Other additions include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a capacitive steering wheel, and cabin-air ionization with a PM 2.5 air filter.

Jaguar hasn’t revealed much about the SUV’s powertrains except that it will get both diesel and petrol options. If the overseas model is anything to go by, there are plenty of engine options, including 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engines and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel units. These also come with mild hybrid tech, offering an extra power boost.

Expect a slight premium over its predecessor, which retailed from Rs 66.07 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. The SUV will lock horns with the Range Rover Velar and BMW X5.
