In its sixth generation, the Volkswagen Polo will grow larger in size and get new engine options
Volkswagen's global cash cow - the Polo - will finally get a generation leap on June 16. The automaker has been reminiscing about the yesteryears of the hatchback on YouTube and sharing tidbits about bygone generations as well. If that's anything to go by, the new Polo does seem to have a lot of pressure on its shoulders.
The hatchback will be unveiled in Berlin on June 16, ahead of its first public appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show that will be held in September this year. While the event is open to select members of the press, the event will be streamed live starting at 2:30pm (IST) on Friday. Will it come to India? Well, we aren't entirely sure about that just as yet. Sources close to Volkswagen India indicate that the only all-new product in the pipeline is the upcoming Passat. Expect VW to introduce some more special editions of the existing line-up, or add more features to the mix to make the package more lucrative.
