MG Motors has once again updated its model range, this time focusing on its EV offerings –the ZS EV and the Comet EV. The Comet EV now boasts fast charging capabilities and additional features, while the ZS EV also receives a new variant which makes panoramic sunroof with this electric SUV more accessible. MG Comet Updated Variant Lineup

Alongside the variant rejig, MG now offers the Comet EV with an optional 7.4 kW fast charger. However, you can configure this option for the Comet EV's mid-spec and top-spec variants only.

Feature Updates on the Comet EV
In addition to the newly introduced AC fast-charging on the Comet EV, it now includes extra safety features like an electronic parking brake, electronic stability control (ESC), rear disc brakes, and hill-hold assist. MG ZS EV Variant Lineup
With the ZS EV, MG has introduced the panoramic sunroof with the one-above-base Excite Pro (previously named Excite) variant. Additionally, a couple of variants of the ZS EV have been renamed. Besides this, the prices of the electric SUV remain unchanged, ranging from Rs 18.98 lakh to Rs 24.98 lakh (ex-showroom). MG ZS EV Excite Pro Features
Along with a panoramic sunroof, the Excite Pro variant comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a 7-inch digital driver display, push-button start/stop, and cruise control.
On the safety front, the ZS EV Excite Pro is equipped with six airbags, a reversing camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Rivals of the Comet EV and ZS EV
The MG ZS EV rivals models such as the Hyundai Kona Electric and the BYD Atto 3. Moreover, it serves as a premium alternative to the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400 EV. On the other hand, the Comet EV offers an affordable option over the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3.
