Last week we were happy to bring you the good news that Harley-Davidson had slashed prices of the Street Rod by over Rs 50,000. Unfortunately, the flipside of the coin is that the Iron 883 has become dearer. Prices for the model have gone up by Rs 12,000 from the previous Rs 9.26 lakh tag, meaning that the Iron 883 is now priced at Rs 9.38 lakh.

The Iron 883 is the Milwaukee manufacturer’s most affordable bike to not be made in India, and also part of Harley’s sizeable BS6 compliant range, which begins from the humble Street 750 at Rs 5.34 lakh and goes all the way up to the mighty Fat Boy at Rs 18.25 lakh.

Powering the Iron 883 is an 883cc air-cooled V-twin motor churning out a respectable 68Nm in BS6 compliant form. This is 2Nm less than the BS4 version, but on the upside, kerb weight remains unchanged at 256kg. The bike is held together by a double-cradle frame and rolls on a 19-inch/16-inch 9-spoke alloy wheel combo.
