Inside, the SUV features a panoramic sunroof with a sliding front portion and a fixed rear roof glass. You also get a 12.3-inch driver’s display, four-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, heated steering wheel, 20-way electronically adjustable front seats and power-folding rear seats.

In addition, you can also get it with a Titanium Mesh finish dashboard trim and a Land Rover Advance Cabin Air Purification system capable of filtering PM2.5 particulates. The Discovery also has an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 700-watt 14-speaker Meridian surround sound system.

The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition can be had with 3-litre straight-six cylinder engines from Land Rover’s Ingenium lineup. The D300 diesel engine produces 300PS and 650Nm, while the P360 mild-hybrid petrol powertrain is good for 360PS and 500Nm. Both engines come paired with an 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system with Terrain Response.

In India, the Discovery competes with European rivals such as the Audi Q7, BMW X5 and Volvo XC90. The Land Rover SUV will also contend with the upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee.
