The Italian brand is introducing X-Cape 650 twins and the Seiemmezzo 6 ½ duo to take on the Kwackers
Moto Morini has officially announced that it will be launching its entire lineup, consisting of the X-Cape 650, X-Cape 650 X, Seiemmezzo 6 ½ Retro Street and Seiemmezzo 6 ½ Scrambler, in India soon. Though the brand is yet to announce the launch timeline, here’s a lowdown on these bikes:
The X-Cape 650s Are Here To Take On The Kawasaki Versys 650
After its debut at the 2019 EICMA, the Moto Morini commenced its global onslaught in the mid-displacement adventure bike segment with the X-Cape 650. The motorcycle grabbed headlines with an enticing combination of a striking design and competent hardware. This ADV will be available in two variants: a road-biased standard version and the ‘X’ variant meant to tackle everything beyond the beaten path.
The X-Cape 650 duo is powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor pumping out 60.8PS at 8250rpm and 54Nm at 7000rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. While the performance is less than the Kawasaki Versys 650’s 68PS and 64Nm, the Italian duo makes up for it with their hardware.

Moto Morini has armed the adventure bikes with fully-adjustable 50mm Marzocchi fork and KYB monoshock offering preload and rebound adjustability. Dropping the anchor on the ADV are 298mm dual disc up front and a 250mm disc at the rear mated with Brembo calipers. While both the bikes get 19/17-inch wheel setup, the standard model features alloy wheels while the ‘X’ variant gets wire-spoke rims.
Seiemmezzo 6 ½ Twins Are The Perfect Nemesis For The Kawasaki Z650 And Z650RS
The Seiemmezzo 6 ½ twins are available in roadster and scrambler formats. Even though both the bikes are essentially the same, both have unique elements like a high-mounted fender, different side panels, and even handlebar and flyscreen.
But the changes are only skin-deep. Both the bikes feature the same engine from the X-Cape twins, however, the Seimmezzo twins make 56PS at 8250rpm and 54Nm at 7000rpm. Suspension setup on the Seiemmezzo duo includes a 43mm USD fork with 120mm travel and a preload-adjustable monoshock with 118mm travel. Braking hardware is carried over from their ADV sibling.
While the Seiemmezzo 6 ½ Retro Street comes with an 18/17-inch alloy wheel setup, the Scrambler version gets 18/17-inch wire-spoke rims.
Moto Morini has yet to announce the pricing of these motorcycles; however, we expect them to be priced competitively. With the entry of this brand, Adishwar Auto Rides has four brands under its wings: Benelli, Keeway, Zontes and Moto Morini. Each brand not only has different genres to offer, but could also be offered at different price brackets, widening Adishwar Auto’s reach.
