Ola is all set to enter the four-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) market on August 15. Ahead of the automaker’s first electric car’s unveiling, sources in the know have informed us that it targets a range of at least 500km on a single charge.
It’s likely to be launched sometime in 2023, offering a better range than any mainstream carmaker’s electric vehicles that include the Tata Nexon EV Max and upcoming Mahindra XUV400 electric.
Previously, Ola has teased concept vehicles in different body styles including a hatchback and SUV. Going by the latest teaser, it seems that the carmaker’s first electric car is a coupe or sedan.
We aren’t sure of the EV’s specs or features yet, but sources tell us it’ll be a feature-packed EV with a powerful drivetrain and in-house developed tech on board. This should include the advanced driver assistance and active safety systems (ADAS) that have been previewed by the carmaker on a golf cart test vehicle earlier.
