Those that have heard the name Ola Electric know that the firm is all about selling electric scooters which have gained popularity in India. But, in January, we got hints of the company getting ready to dip its toes into the four-wheeler category via a rendering. Now, at a recent Customer Day event at its plant, Ola Electric has unleashed the first teaser video of not only one, but multiple electric cars.

While the teaser did keep a lot of things discreet, it revealed enough to give us a taste of what to expect. The first car sported a low-slung nose, with the side profile having a coupe-like philosophy. The other model sported a stubbier front end, hinting at a hatchback, while another model showcased quite an upright rear end, that seems like an SUV-coupe.

What’s common between the three EVs is an illuminated LED strip up front, connected tail lamps, an illuminated Ola logo and sharp creases on the body that give off a muscular stance.

Details on the electric EV cabins are still under wraps as are specifications of the electric powertrain. But, the carmaker did hint at bringing autonomous driving tech on board by showcasing a demo vehicle sporting that tech.

Going back to the teased Ola EVs, you won’t have to wait long for more details, as they’ll surface on August 15. As for when we can expect them to be fully revealed, it might take until the end of 2022 for things to kick off, with launches likely scheduled from 2023 onwards.
