Expert's Conclusion
If you want a fast, fun and well-equipped scooter, the TVS Ntorq 125 is a great pick. It continues to set the standard for performance in its category, and its sporty look makes it even more attractive. The only downside is its cost, mostly on the higher-end variants.
TVS NTORQ 125 Expert Review
The TVS Ntorq 125 stands out as the fastest scooter from TVS. It comes with cool features like voice-guided navigation, instant social media notifications, live sports scores, and many other clever functions.
Design
The TVS Ntorq 125 looks really cool with its aggressive and sporty design. The sharp body panels, lively colours, and eye-catching graphics all blend together to give this scooter a sporty vibe.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
While the NTorq 125 is a good scooter, the Race XP has grabbed attention for its power. In our tests, the Race XP went from 0 to 60kmph in just 8.07 seconds, over a second faster than the standard NTorq 125. It also hit 80kmph from a standstill, in three seconds quicker than the BS6 NTorq 125.
TVS understood that a high-performance scooter might not always be the most fuel-efficient. So, they made specific changes to the ECU for the Street mode.
Adding the Street mode didn't just keep the Race XP efficient on the highway but also made it even better for city mileage. This is despite the Race XP already performing way better than the regular NTorq. Here are the tested real-world mileage figures for the standard and Race XP variants of the TVS NTorq 125:
TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP |
TVS Ntorq 125 Standard |
|

Handling & Ride Quality
The TVS NTorq 125 has a solid and stable ride, and is great for handling corners at high speeds, even with two riders. The Race XP variant keeps this quality with the same suspension setup and a bit lighter weight. Along with the wide tyres, this not only makes it easier to handle but also gives the scooter impressive agility. Despite its smooth and easy handling, the NTorq 125 Race XP stays steady even at higher speeds. Plus, the 155mm ground clearance ensures you won't face any problems with rough roads while riding this scooter.
Comfort
The seat comfort on the NTorq 125 has always been great, and it continues with the Race XP model. Even if you're tall, you can sit comfortably with slightly bent elbows, keeping a straight posture. The seat is cushy and provides enough room for both the rider and passenger, unless they're extremely tall. The sloping seat design with the slight change in height between the rider and the pillion helps the rider in staying snug on the seat.
The handlebar is at a good height, though very tall riders might touch their knees during sharp turns. The switches and buttons are high quality and easy to reach. The footboard is wide and long, fitting big riding boots and leaving space for a medium-sized backpack.
One small thing to note is that the rearview mirrors, while sizable, might reflect the rider's elbow for larger riders or those wearing bulky jackets.
Features
The regular NTorq goes beyond the basics on its digital display. It shows important stuff like speed, fuel level, engine temperature, trip meters, and total distance. It even has cool features like a timer for 0-60kmph acceleration and a lap timer with top speed recording. Plus, it's Bluetooth-compatible, giving you personalised welcome messages, call and message alerts, auto-reply for texts, turn-by-turn navigation, and a handy scooter locator.
The Race XP version steps it up with features not common in Indian scooters, whether electric or petrol-powered. You can check after your ride things like distance, time, engine RPM, and average speed. Plus, there's voice assistance that lets you control the mobile app hands-free, making it easy to switch riding modes and activate navigation.
Should You Buy The TVS Ntorq 125?
This TVS NTorq 125 is special because it's the most powerful in the 125cc category. It comes with handy riding modes and connects to Bluetooth through its app, giving you a bunch of features. Plus, it's good on mileage, handles really well, and has reliable brakes, making it almost the perfect sporty scooter. Whether you're riding it to work every day or having weekend fun, the NTorq 125 Race XP in particular, offers both usefulness and excitement.

TVS NTorq 125: Sporty and Smart but Perfect?
About eight months ago, I decided to try out the TVS NTorq 125. Its sporty design and promise of "SmartXonnect" technology completely won me over. It is quick, fun and the Bluetooth connectivity that allows for navigation, call and text alerts is super convenient. However, the NTorq does have a slight downside. Its mileage, about 47 kmpl, is lower compared to some of its competitors. Also, the ride can be a bit rough on uneven roads and it is on the heavier side which might not appeal to everyone.

introducing thrill all your way
The TVS NTorq 125 is a popular 125cc scooter known for its sporty design, peppy performance, and feature-rich offerings . My NTorq 125 gets a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled BS6 engine. It claims a mileage of around 50 kmpl . Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is optional on some variants, but highly recommended, especially for new riders as they are new in riding . My father actually prefers ABS technology as they wants my safety in every point .
