There is every possibility the engine oil is not changed. Must have been getting topped up most of the time. Check with the service centre. Mostly not covered by warranty.

Could be due to Covid restrictions, you are not using the vehicle. Keep all the lights off and use the kickstart a few times. Vehicle will start, allow it to run for sometime in idle, till the autochoke releases the engine to normal RPM. One other problem could be RATs biting the wires.

For Bluetooth, you have to keep the 'mode' button pressed. Then, connect your phone through the TVS application. Sometimes it does happen that bluetooth gets disconnected, but I have experienced it only once. I think with the new application, TVS has removed that bug. Otherwise, you can connect again if it happens.

Hi, first check the utility box light. Being too harsh on the seat, droppping to close etc, can leave the LED light on continously. this will drain the power. I have witnessed this problem and avoided a change of battery.

Q. I run 300 km in the speed 90 km is their any problem in mileage?

Not sure if you are saying 300kms at a stretch @90kmph. Its not advisable. 300 km trip with short breaks is fine with variying speeds between 50 to 90 kmph. You should ensure good quality petrol, engine and gear box oil, right air pressure in both the tyres. when you are freaking out at 90kmph speed range, you should be thinking only about vehicle maintenance and not mileage.
We would suggest you ride slower, in order to improve the mileage. Riding fast can reduce your fuel efficiency by up to 33% if you are travelling above 60 kmph. It is best to change gears appropriately and match the gear and the RPM carefully.
You will not get better mileage at high speed. More speed less mileage it is applicable for all types vehicles. 40-55 km/hr. is the best for best milage.

If you are a Ntorq scooty holder you must have a service book. Read the service book very carefully the answer of your question has written on the page where they have discussed about ENGINE OIL. Normal oil is sufficient for 2&4 wheelers and synthetic oil has been mostly used on too much cold places. So many companies have India they're manufacturing this type of normal oil.
I personally prefer Motul 10W40 or 10W50 Synthetic engine oil with Castrol 85W90 Gear oil. It runs smoothly and the instant pickup feels in hand.

If you need performance go for a bike instead of a scooter because scooter is for practicality not for performance. So for long term activa is a 100% safer option. Suzuki burgman street and access are also great options and value for money as they are comfortable and practical scooter, most importantly they are very fuel efficient. Pleasure is more convenient for that height , your entire foot rests on road.but tvs is more stable than pleasure it gives more time to put the feet on road , but you can rest tips of your foot on road. with some practice you can easily manage that.You can accustom to that within first 750 km riding.

Q. Is Ntorq better than Suzuki Access?

I own both Access and Ntorq. I drive both alternatively. The only thing I feel better about Ntorq is the safety aspect, ie., since Ntorq has wider tyres and front disc I drive very confidentely without fearing a skid or cornering or sudden braking. The scooter handles it very effectively. Access does not provide the above things and when ever I drive it I'm always under fear. Performance wise both are equally good with Access having an edge over Ntorq. Access also gives a better mileage compare to Ntorq. The opinion is based on my experience with both my scooters...

Q. For the past one year I'm using TVS NTORQ 125. 7500 Kms covered, Initially everything was good, as each free service is over, problems started coming. Do not know if the service centre is goofing up. The latest problem is the annoying sound, as if you are beating an empty metal container, when you are driving at any speed from below the bike at the centre. This started coming after the 4th free service. Does any one has any idea why is the sound coming?

Immediately after posting the problem, the next day I took the bike to the service centre, the mechanic correctly identified the problem, it was gear box bearing fault, they changed the bearing which was shaking, the problem got resolved... otherwise the bike is good..
The same problem is arise in my scotty also some annoying sound is coming from engine, I thing its coming from shoe pad. I have recently done 2nd service in the month of April.When I visit service center, the guy said sound was normal its coming from every bike.Even they cant solve the vibration issue also.

It depends on quality of the engine oil. I use normal quality of engine oil so my regular engine oil change interval is nearabout 1500 km. But if any body use quality synthetic engine oil it will run nearly 3000 km.
The scooter manual says engine oil should be change at 3000km but i change it on 2500 km. And also the viscocity of the engine oil depends on it. If condition of the engine has good then you can ride your vehicle for some more kilometers.

The honda aviator too is a very good scooter. It has got a very refined engine, good mileage and is reliable too, but now the aviator is pretty old as the ntorq was launch just lately. Yes the exhaust note is quite loud in ntorq as the end canister is designed in a way to produce a low bass note which sounds a bit like a motorcycle. You dont exactly mention the point what you want to know about what ntorq feels like in rain. Talking about the tyres, it is good in wet condition and you can confidently ride it under the rain. There will be a bit of a problem in cold start though. The goodness of a scooter during wet condition is that you can ride on muddy or dirty roads without worrying about getting your shoes and pants dirty.
Iam tested my NTorq, but little bit feelings, its general. i have checked full throttle speed, it's reached 102Km. Suspensions also is good compared to other scooty models. there is a major problem is Exhaust sound.

2 Average build adults can ride comfortably. Mileage is a one question which cannot have a standard answer. As per TVS Fuel economy: 47 km/l. I have heard from SWIGGY delivery guys, saying they are getting 45+ KMPL. Which means you and me can better it.
Very very much comfortable. Two people easily sit with out any problem. I have checked the mileage of NTorq with TVS personnel on September 2018 at Kolkata, I got 47km/lt. The result of the testing had written officially on Job Sheet.
Rider and a pillion can sit comfortably provided neither is excessively overweight. Seat is a bit high. Mileage is about 40 kmpl.

Yes the side stand problem is true but in some ntorq you can fix it when taking delivery and the fuel gauge issue is manufacturing defect in some ntorq. Ntorq is like beast . From my point of view ntorq is best in performance and pickup and the body quality is also good the fibre quality it's also great .I have a matte red ntorq Apache 200 4v
I have faced issues like some panel gaps on the lower side panel,starting issues which not only in cold start, engine refuses to idle even when it is in proper operating temperature and vibrations in low traffic speed. Much of the issues is rectified but starting problem still happens sometimes.My scooter is the first generation model and I think some problems was fixed in the newer models. Still I would recommend you to buy one as its one of the best in the 125cc segment.

Yellow NTorq is not glossy finish. My red NTorq is red matt finish I have purchased it near about 1yr 2 months, still now it's colour condition is very good due to regular maintenance. If stickering the scooty then how do you get the original colour.
You can get it laminated with a transperant laminating sheet.It will protect the paint from scratch and looks good too. If you dont want it you can peel it off easily.

I do face the issue in the morning or if the scooter is not started for 2-3 days. you need to kick start it and depending on the gap it had you have to kick longer the gap more of kicks it needs. Another problem is "no choke". It would have helped a little.
I am driving this Scooty more than 1yr 1month, still now I have not faced any starting problem. Also I have not heard this type of word about NTorq. So many times I have visited service center no other NTorq owner discuss this type of problem.

@Mr.Ajit, milage test of NTorq, all the procedure of milage test which was done in front of me. At the time of on road testing I was on the back seat of my NTorq as a testing bottle (500ml.) holder. Previously there was no petrol in the testing bottle. 35 year of experience, I am telling you this was the right method of milage testing.
Date 9.9.2018, I tested milage of my NTorq with TVS service personnel near most renowned place ECO Park, Kolkata. 170ml. petrol used for 8km and petrol container was 500ml. bottle which was provided by TVS Service. Pls. calculate I think it will be 47km/per lt. Tunning & RPM calculation done by TVS with the help of testing meter.

Q. Would like to know, how much long can we ride NTORQ on highway without a stop? Is it okay to go for a long trip apprx 250-300 kms. Though it is a scooter, but is it okay to go? If yes then after how many hours/kms and how much time should we need to stop to start again?

Good to do long rides. if you are cruizing around 70kmph, then maybe you can stop at any of the Tea Joint or Petrol Stations after every 65kms, for a 15 mins break. Check you engine & Gear oil quality & level, Drive Belt condition, Clutch Condition (basically a general checkup) and then embark on your ride. Please ensure you use TVS recommended Grade of Engine Oil (10w-30). Have been seeing in TVS Ntorq Groups in Facebook etc, guys mentioning premium brand oils of 10w-40, 20w-40 for engine and 80w-90 for gear. Using these wrong spec oils can adversly affect the engine parts.
Yes you can ride with the Maximum comfort...You have stop once the engine temperature gets too hot needs a Break ....Apart from this you can ride for approximately 150kms to 200kms without a break....It is safe and advisable to follow the engine temperature 🌡️ and follow the rest stops in your journey.
You have to stop only for refueling. Rest it depends on you how far you can drive it. It also depends on when you got you ntorq service and engine oil changed. Plus ntorq Has engine temperature indicater so when you ntorq getts really hot you will know.300 km are nothing for any scooter.

The NTORQ's suspension is very soft. It can overcome any type of terrain because I own a one. Carrying a jerry can is very tiresome because you have to carry that big can of 10ltrs which also decreases your storage space. You have a family, so carrying a jerry can is not a brave idea. If it shows 'fuel on reserve' that doesn't mean the fuel is very low. It still have about 1-1.5 litres of fuel which is enough to cover maximumdistance of 50kms. So jerry can is not of use that importantly.
I think it is too much risky to store petrol in jerry can in your house. Accident may not happen with information, but when it will happen is too much harm for you. You always fill up petrol full tank. It will be safe & better for you.

Q. I hear a clicking sound every time I accelerate. It sounds like a defective issue, what is it - NTORQ?

It cud be from the clutch assembly or from the Silencer heat protection plate going loose. in my NTORQ this plate was coming loose frequently, used a good spring washer and tightened the screws. No problem after that.

Original ones are very much available. starts from 1300-(RALCO) to 2600/-(Michelin) per tyre. Apart from TVS own tyres, there are good specimens in CEAT and JK TYRES.
So many R&D had done by TVS for NTORQ's tyres. Why you replace? Replace tyres maybe harmful for your NTorq.

If you like 125cc segment then go for NTorq. I am using it more than 1yr 2 months. No problems. 47km/lt. milage I checked on September 2018 with TVS engineer Kolkata, ECO Park. And if you like 110cc segment you can go with Activa or Jupiter.

The two are different. Totally. It's sad Hero always target their products at the mass market. Ntorq is wholly performance oriented. The huge digital dial with navigation system and call+sms notification will b**w you away. And on an open highway, you can ride it at a very confident 90+ kmph tapering off at a near 3 digit speed. Potholes and broken roads ? Doesn't matter at all. The wheels are bigger and much much wider.Neither of these is available with Destini 125 which is a very good scooter in its own right.
TVS has better reliability than Destiny. If you drive safely there is no need of metal body. NTORQ is more agile than Destiny.

Q. Ntorq has no choking system in it so while in winters how we could start it by self start?

It is a problem. It does not work at all times. You have to kickstart it, I guess. Could have provided a normal choke and let the person using it decide on whether to use.
First time it is better to start a scooty or bike by kick. After that you use self start. Ntorq has auto choke, it works very fine. Don't worry.
I also noticed this .. but it was no issue, its an inbuilt feature ..i would advice to use kick start if you start it after a few days gap.. or in winters too..

If you prefer performance over mileage then the ntorq was just right for you and is one of the fastest in the 125cc segment. It is also comfortable and soak up bumps with ease and also packed with features. But if you want above 125 then the aprilia sr150 is a lot more faster.If you want to travel a longer distance,then the burgman is for you and performance is not that far behind the ntorq.The other scooters you mentioned are also good but they are a bit old by now.So I think you will be happy with the ntorq and burgman.

Yeah the front body might be lose! I too had same problem, there's is a noice coming from my front body, as something was lose like nails or something. But when i took it to normal garage in my locals,a 20 year boy solved it by tighten up the front body. Even tvs service centre couldn't solve it.

Yes. I took for 630kms ride performed so well mileage 48-52kmpl on the highway. Firstly took my ntorq to the service center and asked can it do a long ride. They said yes. And I changed the oil from mineral to semi-synthetic. It took 14hrs with 130mins of break. Carried engine oils and some spanners for safety. Suggest for day ride

This vehicle is not at all safe for pillion rider there is no handle for pillion rider (ladies) the foot lever is not safe it doesn't have grip, it slips since it is designed with glossy finish with no support, the floor mat has no grip it slips when pressed. we have to award the person approved such a bad and unsafe design's
No. Not really. It is okay, but I always start feeling an issue if I sit for longer than 15-20 minutes in one go. While that never was an issue in our previous bike that was Rodeo, and I could easily sit for 45 minutes without feeling the slightest of discomfort even if the bike move continuously and there was no movement (like putting the feet on the ground when it stops).
That depends on the type of persons riding on that motorcycle, if two of them are not so much fatty i am sure both of them will get a great ride. But it wont be so much good for fatty persons, but there also after the seat there is some more space given which will ensure their saftey and the grab rod is also great

Actually the comparison is not applicable because ntorq is 125cc and aprilia is 150cc. On the other hand aprilia sr 125 can be compared with ntorq. But if you want to choose between sr 150 and ntorq you should go for sr 150 because of its powerful 150 cc engine and now it also comes with ABS that provides enhanced safety and after saled service is also good from aprilia. But the milega of sr 150 is less because of bigger engine and the spare parts are also expensive such as body panels. If you can compromise with mileage and can take care of it go go for sr 150. If you wanna be on safer side go for ntorq.

I have been driving it for 11k Kms. I have experienced some demerits of it but they are of low priority, nothing major. 1) Kick is conventional as most scooter in India have. Quality is not so good. Kick slips sometimes.2) Minor Sounds in Dashboard at lower speeds.3) Minor vibration while starting the scooter in morning at lower speeds.4) Headlamp is not so bright. It could be better if it had LED Headlights.

Q. What is the function of kill switch in Ntorq

Usually Kill Switch helps in Stop/Go Traffic or short halts which saves your fuel without spending time to repeatedly switching ignition ON/OFF by key. Its close to throttle so its easy to turn engine ON/OFF without ON/OFF the electricals of the scooter.
One more thing if you only use the kill switch, the drl will always turn on draining the battery, so its wiser to use the key if not only for a short time.If you still want to use it, then you can turn on the headlight switch and the drl will goes dim.
To turn off the engine, thats all, but you have to slow down like in all other cvt scooters to let the engine at idle and only then you can use it.

124.79cc single cylinder, 4 stroke 3 valves, 9.4 ps maximum power and 10.5 nm Torque. One of the fastest scooty in India. Company claims 95 km/hr. But other reviews say 105 - 110 km/hr. If you are not satisfy with these figures which helps a scooty for good pickup then you go for bike.
It can go from 0-60kmph in 9 Seconds. That's the one of fastest time that any scooter in India can achieve. Company claims the top speed of 95kmph but i have achived 113kmph of this scooter. No doubt its pickup is one of fastest if we talk about scooters in India.

If you wanna ride solo then Ntorq would be comfortable, but it will cramp a lot if you will ride with pillion. Second option you can try is Aprilia sr 125.

Secondly I calculate mileage by noting the odometer reading and doing tank full with petrol, next time I note reading and subtract both readings and divide it with the quantity of fuel filled. I think this method works well when authorized centers do not have test rigs.
Take a mileage test from a Authorized Service Center of TVS. Company claims mileage of 45-50 Kmpl. Recalculate how you are calculating mileage too.
This is the mileage most of the Ntorq users are getting as per my experience.

Maybe by modification but i dont suggest you to do that. I can suggest use a lengthy USB wire that can travel all way to Charging pot to glove box in Ntorq. But i am not sure there is a space for a wire that can came out for underseat. You can try this easy stuff and let us now. Remember to tape the wire.

I have driving Ntorq for almost 10,000kms no issue at all mentioned. Mileage is around 40-45kmpl in aggressive riding and 45-50kmpl in ECO mode.

Its a fibre body because metallic body adds to the weight of the scooter, rusts, gets dented on crashes. Whereas fibre is lighter, allows easier handling, easier to clean, and won't rust.
