Best Bike
One of my peers has a Royal Enfield Himalayan, which has become his adventurous buddy. The bike's tough and purpose-built construction is ideal for his thrill-seeking personality. The Himalayan's 411cc engine provides tremendous performance whether off-roading or traveling long distances. Even on difficult terrain, the comfortable upright riding position and capable suspension make it a delight to ride. Royal Enfield Himalayan's toughness and dependability allow my companion to explore new locations and make wonderful experiences. It's a motorbike that fits his adventurous personality and gives an exhilarating riding experience.

3.0Nice low end torque with
Nice low end torque with super mileage 30km/ltr, Good for carring pillion and carring luggage for long tour.Simple mechanism like old school bike but pulling power is really good for high altitude.Quality issue is a continues problem, Enfield engineering department try to solve this issue but it's not solve example cone set issue, Bs6 is far better than bs3 model but needed something good work on that bike.Fit and finish is not upto the mark if you compare it with its rivel bikes then you see they giving something extra like led headlight, Refined engine comapre than himalayan, Traction control slipper clutch cornering abs and very needful 6 th gear.Torque is good but power need to increase after 80 started vibrating like hell. Also need the better service guy in service station because they always realise you that you not buying a motorcycle you buying a emotion and lagacy of this great brand nothing else.

- Selecting between the KTM 250 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan would depend on your preference of the usage, performance and budget. For anyone who intends to spend long hours on the saddle, you can’t go wrong with the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Apart from the proven off-road cred, the 2021 model even offers navigation as standard, something that the KTM doesn’t. Though the ADV has become slightly expensive this month onwards, you still save a healthy amount over the KTM 250 Adventure. For those looking to clock a lot of kilometres on the highway, the more potent 390 ADV will be a more purposeful package. The better fuel efficiency, lower price tag for the 250 Adventure make it a more sensible choice for many riders. However, it is a motorcycle that demands you to adapt to its nature and needs, rather than the other way around. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details. - If you are just learning to ride bike, i would not recommend it. It's Wet weight is close to 200kg, i am 5'7' and i am really at home with the bike ergonomics but if you are a new rider you will tend to mount it incorrectly, you will forget about the side stand and trust me the bike doesn't budge if you are mounted on it. So you have to carefully dismount and move the bike around. Better take a test ride and see if you can put the bike on double stand and make your decision because i have seen new riders instantly in sync with heavy motorbikes as well. So it is basically up to you.
- Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a 411 cc engine. This Himalayan engine generates a power of 24.31 PS @ 6500 rpm and a torque of 32 Nm @ 4000 - 4500 rpm. Moreover, comfort is something that can be best judged personally and varies from person to person so we would suggest you to take a test ride before taking any final decision. You can check the dealer details here.
- Not lightweight if it falls over at 185 dry weight okay for beginners who have already learned to ride on a 150cc
- Selecting the right bike would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. Royal Enfield Himalayan offers spot-on ergonomics for touring or standing and riding, Brilliant off-roading credentials like long-travel suspension, spoke rims and tall ground clearance, finally gets switchable ABS, allowing you to lock the rear wheel while off-roading. Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a 411 cc engine. This Himalayan engine generates a power of 24.31 PS @ 6500 rpm and a torque of 32 Nm @ 4000 - 4500 rpm. On the other hand, Good looks, healthy performance, competent underpinnings, and a host of features. All for just Rs 1.92 lakh. If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, nothing eclipses the Dominar 400 in the sub-2 lakh rupee price bracket. Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.3 cc engine. This Dominar 400 engine generates a power of 40 PS @ 8800 rpm and a torque of 35 Nm @ 6500 rpm. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
- Both have their fair share of advantages and disadvantages. If you are looking for a rugged, go anywhere bike with maximum comfort, long distance touring, riding for several hours and truckload of suspension then look no further Himalayan is the answer. On the downside, it's heavy, if parked on an incline you really have to be careful and bog it down, brakes are squishy which needs getting used to and cannot afford to drop it. You need to be sensible with this one also drops don't matter to a Himalayan because it's all heavy duty metal. If you are more into highway touring/cruising on the higher end of the rev limiter then Dominar it is, not ideal for bad roads or off-roads, i find it uncomfortable after about 400kms of riding. But what it lacks it makes up for the performance and always available power on the tap. Again this is all plastic, lower ground clearance, not the most ideal bash plate, hates going off-road. Then again it depends on the rider and how to tame these beasts is completely up to you.
- For this, we would suggest you to exchange a word with the authorized dealership in your respective city as that will be an appropriate point of contact to get assistance for your concern. You can check the dealer details here.
- If you’re placed a deposit you normally get it at that price
- Most of the vehicles in India use regular petrol and it works just fine. The premium/power petrol contains higher octane value compared to the regular petrol and it gives the vehicle a marginal bump in the performance and fuel efficiency. If you do not mind the premium on the power petrol, then you may opt for it.
- I covered 12k km in just 3 months!!! I tried many products... Personally I felt BP normal petrol gives more mileage & better performance.. If I use speed or super petrol... The performance is not that good.. It's kinda buzzy on high speed.
- The new Enfield engines will run on E10 regular petrol but don’t store it in the tank over winter (not riding) as ethanol absorbs moisture and water and corrosion may happen
- The Royal Enfield Himalayan was the motorcycle that kick-started the affordable adventure touring genre in India in 2016. Despite the arrival of new rivals, it continues to outshine them as an all-rounder. RE has ironed out the majority of the issues that plagued the first-gen motorcycle, but brakes still remain an Achilles heel. It is one of the sweetest motorcycles in the sub-Rs 5 lakh category for pillion comfort. The seat is well-padded and roomy, with the footpegs being positioned just right for a long day looking over your rider’s shoulder, and the felted seat feels wonderfully premium, too. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- It’s a great motorcycle and there are aftermarket seat options if you find it’s uncomfortable. A lot of the issues have been fix on these bikes now the 2023 model is a very good bike, the planned 450 will have its own issues at first no bike is perfect. Generally the end run bikes just before the now model is the bests and sometimes the cheapest as there’s discounts to shift the final stock !
- Himalayan is a big one so for short people its a problem in case of falling they cant touch there fit on ground easily also for big size people the sit is short but classic 350 is a different segment. You cant comare this with Himalayan. If you need big bike but with pillion big seat then gs310, and ktm 390 adv also there

- Yes its true in many cases, as per my experience most of the garage just doing normal work on Himalayan.parts are not easily available like bajaj. So you have to go service center.
- There’s a semi conductor shortage world wide that is affecting manufacturing in every country. The war in Ukraine is also impacting manufacturing production.
- Currently, there are 10 tourer bikes on sale from various manufacturers starting from 2.26 Lakh: Royal Enfield Himalayan, Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6, 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa, BMW R 1250 RT, etc. Choosing one will depend on your budget and the features required. - Yes, Himalayan BS6 is a well-rounded package that is now just that little bit better than before. It’ll even keep you entertained on the twisty bits of tarmac you’ll find on the way. Short of hooning about on track, this is the one motorcycle that’ll do pretty much any and everything you ask of it, without protest or complaint. The seat is well-padded and roomy, with the footpegs being positioned just right for a long day looking over your rider’s shoulder, and the felted seat feels wonderfully premium, too. - All three bikes are good in their forte. Dominar in its current avatar, it makes for a great urban motorcycle, oozing plenty of style and character, as well as packing in the performance and comfort to make occasional touring a breeze. Whereas, Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, the BS6 powerplant sees a slight drop in top-end performance and in return, is more free-revving and refined. It isn't as bad a tradeoff as you would imagine. All in all, Royal Enfield Interceptor BS6 continues to be the best value-for-money motorcycle in its segment. On the other hand, Himalayan is an all-rounder. The Himalayan BS6 is a well-rounded package that is now just that little bit better than before. It’s a nice motorcycle to tour the country on, and even if you don’t actually do so, it makes you look like the sort of person who does so with regularity. - As per your requirements, we'd suggest you to opt for the Royal Enfield Himalayan for its brilliant city slicking abilities. The Himalayan BS6 is a well-rounded package that is now just that little bit better than before. It’s a nice motorcycle to tour the country on, and even if you don’t actually do so, it makes you look like the sort of person who does so with regularity. The Himalayan certainly isn’t flawless or entirely satisfactory in any singular aspect, but it makes up for these gaps by painting a picture of opportunity, inciting you to travel and explore on a whim. For that alone, it is and will continue to be relevant, even when the competition arrives in wholesomeness. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. - RE interceptor has the nice engine. The Himalayan has the ability to take on off road conditions. The Scram has a very comfortable seat and heads up riding position like the adv bike, I would consider the 650 for two up riding with adv tyres and raise the front mudguard.
- Himalayan no doubt
- The Royal Enfield Himalayan comes in just one variant but it is offered in six colors: Gravel Grey, Rock Red, Mirage Silver, Lake Blue, Pine Green, Granite Black. Royal Enfield Himalayan is priced from Rs. 2.01 - 2.08 Lakh (Ex-showroom Price, Delhi). The 2021 Himalayan still features the same BS6-compliant 411cc single-cylinder engine which produces 24.31PS and 32Nm. The 2021 Himalayan remains a capable off-roader, suspended by long-travel suspension units at both ends. It is the only affordable adventure tourer in India to get a 21-/17-inch spoke wheel setup that comes shod with dual-purpose CEAT tires. Himalayan features The instrument cluster looks virtually the same as before, but there’s a new pod for the Tripper Navigation system. The system enables enthusiasts to explore uncharted territories with ease as the system offers accurate turn-by-turn navigation.
- Same hardwere
- Scram 411
- Yes, you may go for the current version. The Himalayan recently received a host of updates. The 2021 Himalayan doesn’t look too different from the previous model. It retains its rugged design elements and looks like an ADV from every angle. The only key change in this aspect is that the Himalayan is now available in three new paint options: Pine Green, Mirage Silver and Granite Black, besides the existing Rock Red, Lake Blue, and Gravel Grey. The Mirage Silver colour option gets a tan brown seat. That said, the addition of LED lighting and a few other noticeable changes would have improved the package.Read More - 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan: What’s New And What’s Not.

- As per your requirements, we'd suggest you to go for the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Over the years, RE has ironed out the majority of issues from the Himalayan. The pliant suspension, high ground clearance, and healthy torque output make for an empowering proposition in the city. The Himalayan is not only a great city slicker, it offers brilliant cruising and off-road credentials like the long-travel suspension and tall ground clearance. The spot-on off-road ergonomics, allowing the rider to knee-grip the tank naturally, with an effortless reach to the handlebar, add to the Himalayan’s comfort and confidence to venture into the unknown. Whether it’s carrying you down the highway at a steady cruise or pulling you out of slush under pouring rain, the engine always feels up to the job. The Himalayan BS6 is a well-rounded package that is now just that little bit better than before. - Himalayan no doubt, torqueful engine give you all your need, speacily off road trail, enjoy long travel suspensen with high ground clearence.
- Selecting the perfect bike depends on various factors such as your budget, ride quality, drive type, engine performance, features required, etc. Here, Jawa is the only bike here using a short-stroke, performance-oriented engine with a 6-speed transmission. Sure it’s fast, but it lacks the retro laidback charm of an under square engine, something we think is crucial for a buyer in this segment. Whereas If we talk about Royal Enfield Meteor, the thump wrapped up in a refined, easy to ride, confident and practical package sounds just right. The lack of oil leaks or missing parts over our 800km stint makes the package more joyous. The healthy fuel efficiency, 10,000km oil-change intervals, and 5000km/6 month service inspections make it more endearing. So, this Royal Enfield fulfills the promise made by the Thunderbird many years ago. However, the Meteor doesn’t make a bigger and bolder promise of its own by way of plush ride quality, a greater sense of richness, or, crucially, better cruising ability. On the other hand, the Himalayan BS6 is a well-rounded package that is now just that little bit better than before. - Selecting between the Honda CB350RS and Royal Enfield Himalayan would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, features required, ride quality, performance preference, etc. The spot-on off-road ergonomics, allowing the rider to knee-grip the tank naturally, with an effortless reach to the handlebar, add to the Himalayan’s comfort and confidence to venture into the unknown. Moreover, Royal Enfield has introduced 2021 Himalayan with more features and more comfort. On the other hand, for people looking for quality and reliability, the Honda CB350RS would be the right pick. It does make a compelling case for those who are looking to have a bit more zing in their retro experience. - First of all whats your need both are ls sohc engine, ifvyou think for all kind of road and also for long touring then himalayan is best because long travel suspension with better ground clearnence, windshield and spoke wheel with luggage caring capcity makes it a better tourer,on the other hand if you think about highway based tour then this hond engine is really fab, afterall its a smooth vibration free smooth enginge but some tripical turren is problemetic for that die to its design, both are half duplex frame but many thing you have to chenge to make it a tourer,so not its your choice that you want a adv or a simple looking motor

- Always go for RE Himalayan... because himalayan is simply the best motorcycle... if there is off road condition then you just need to standup on the bike and let the bike go... its best for backpain users as well
- If you think about comfort then himalayan is slight better than xpulse, but its heavy than xpulse,so if you are a rider who loves long ride then himalayan otherwise xpulse, but one thing sure that xpulse also good for travelling but for long distence himakayan is better
- It would be a very challenging one. You wouldnt feel the weight when driving the bike. But you will have to manage the weight in traffic, parkings etc. as himalayan is one of the heaviest bikes in market in this range.
- Yes bt mentaly strong for that its a 200 kg machine

- I recently bought a Himalayan for which the insurance costed me around 20k for 5 yearsi I.e 1 year comprehensive and 5 years third party. And the premium also depends on company. If you take the full value of bike as IDV initially, you will get it around 16-22k.

- Owning and riding multiple motorcycles is a luxury that few can afford and even fewer can truly enjoy. If the Himalayan is on your shopping list, it’s quite likely that it’s going to be your only motorcycle. And as an only motorcycle, it’s as close to perfect as you can get in this price range -- or even a few rungs higher, for that matter. This really is the Swiss Army Knife of motorcycles -- a capable, versatile, one-size-fits-all motorcycle. Need something to ferry you to the office and back? No problem. Want to cruise the highways on weekends? It’ll do it all day and all night long. It’ll even keep you entertained on the twisty bits of tarmac you’ll find on the way. Short of hooning about on track, this is the one motorcycle that’ll do pretty much any and everything you ask of it, without protest or complaint. Thankfully, even when viewed in isolation, the Himalayan BS6 is a well-rounded package which is now just that little bit better than before. It’s a nice motorcycle to tour the country on, and even if you don’t actually do so, it makes you look like the sort of person who does so with regularity. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Compltein 10000 km,kolkata to rajasthan and kolkata to north east and sikim ride, means high altitude area, brojen road and also many expressway cover on that bt not facing a small problem.
- Yes the majority of the faults are fixed or there’s a workaround. Steering head bearing are still a concern but Hitchcocks uk have a quality bearing replacement part available to order on line.
- And what will you do with it? fix it on your existing bike because you like the grunt? please understand that the exhaust is a complex thing which does more than give the bike it's characterstic thump or grunt. it also affects the power output and pickup, and if it is a mismatch and not tuned as per your bike, it may also reduce the milleage of your bike apart from spoiling its aesthetics.you could go in for after market performance exhausts. one of the brand's, red rooster may cost you the upwards of ₹ 9,000. or you could visit one of the ’kabaadi’ (scrap) dealers if your budget is not enough. places like meerut are supposed to be a big market for these second hand products, and who knows you may get a good deal at one of these places.

- The PoweRage is a great Silencer is a good choice it has removable decibel killer and is free flowing. It fits straight on in place of the stock exhaust I have one on my Scram it’s more compact and lighter.
- I think they gonna stop making sleet white. Even though it's not an official statement , the showroom said that they stop making that colour. - No. You cannot get Himalayan Sleet new bike as it is discontinued with the introduction of new 2021 Himalayan model which is expected to be launched in 2nd half of February.
- All these bikes are good enough, however, they are of different segments and have different characteristics. If we talk about KTM 250 Duke, probably the most un-KTMish KTM of them all, the 250 Duke with its relaxed motor and comfy suspension is a great choice for those who aren’t looking to set lap records but want something quick and convenient for everyday use. If we talk about Royal Enfield Meteor, the thump wrapped up in a refined, easy to ride, confident and practical package sounds just right. The lack of oil leaks, or missing parts over our 800km stint makes the package more joyous. The healthy fuel efficiency, 10,000km oil-change intervals and 5000km/6 month service inspections make it more endearing. So, this Royal Enfield fulfills the promise made by the Thunderbird many years ago. However, the Meteor doesn’t make a bigger and bolder promise of its own by way of plush ride quality, a greater sense of richness or, crucially, better cruising ability. The Himalayan BS6 is a well-rounded package which is now just that little bit better than before. You may compare all these bikes accordingly. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Duke 250 is totally for stunt and drag race but still it is good for daily commute of 60 km but only if the road is smooth and it really perform well at it , even in traffic. Come to the touring duke 250 is good but not better, i mentioned not better because comfort for long ride is not that good. And Himalayan has unique ability , it's totally made for long ride and off road. So it really perform well in long drive , I mean it's atmost performance will explicit in highways. And Himalayan is the best comfort bike in that price segment. And off-road is also great. But in daily commute it perform well only if there is no traffic. If you stuck in extreme traffic Himalayan really make you mad , because of it's weight and shifting gear frequently is too hard for you , i suppose . In that case Himalayan is little bit sloppy. And i didn't know much about meteor , but as far as i know it's totally made for touring purpose so maybe it also sloppy for traffic scenarios. I think Himalayan is best choice but depending on your way of riding. But if you don't take long ride and don't want the comfort of pillion sheet i prefer duke 250 . Also if you go long ride and if you like off road and pillion sheet is important, Himalayan is the best choice . I didn't know much about meteor because I personally didn't like it's look so i donno about it's use . I think dominar 400 maybe suitable for you becausei heard about it it perform well at traffic and good for long journey . But i didn't like it's look also that's why I didn't much gather information about it . Check that bike out , maybe that bike is your's suitable bike, who knows
- There are multiple aspects that you need to keep in mind in order to maintain your bike properly such as rust protection, sparkplug care, chain maintenance, cleaning/polishing, brakes care, tyre tread check, etc. Read More: - Two-Wheeler Maintenance Guide
- Cone set is main, but of you want a long service from himalayan without problem then maintain each and everything of bike like your baby
- Tyre pressure and chain
- No it's not . Because it is too heavy. But you know how to ride a bike . It is really good bike , because even though it is too heavy, the riding position is too good. But I'm not recommended this for beginners.
- Yes it can be a beginner bike but I suspect there’s smaller sized bikes for beginners
- No
- Yeah it's good , i suppose. But if you too short it's not the bike for you . Even though Himalayan looks slim , it's weight is around 200 kg . So if you too short , it hard to handle it . But if you're interested in this motorbike for touring purpose and not for off-road maybe it good . Because if you maintain the centre of gravity of the bike properly , it really easy to control the bike.
- Go for it girl. So long as the bike feels comfortable and your able to touch the ground as it’s quite a tall bike the scram is slightly lower and Hitchcocks in uk make lowering links for the rear suspension
- No problem with your waight.but haight is matter, first going to showroom taking a test ride its help.

- As per your requirements, the Dominar 250 would be a brilliant pick if you are not willing to spend further. Bajaj Dominar 250 offers brilliant value for the money spent. But money aside, as a motorcycle, the Dominar 250 does one thing right -- it is fit to purpose. The Dominar 250’s motor felt boring on the KTM, but combined with the comfortable tourer the Dominar is, it works beautifully. It truly feels like it deserves the ‘sports tourer’ tag. The other really impressive aspect of this D250 is its ride quality. Both front and rear suspension are running a softer tune compared to the 400. The only thing you have to watch out for is braking when going over those sharp bumps, as it can cause the front end to bottom out. But apart from that, the Dominar 250’s ride quality is nothing short of wonderful. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. - 140 is the top speed of Himalayan Motorcycle.... but if you are going on a long ride, let say around 600kms or 1000kms ride then 100 to 110 will be the top speed in the ride... because this motorcycle will not cruise at 140km for more then 10 min and 110 is the best speed for long rides... and st 100 you will not even feel that the motorcycle is running... this is super duper smooth kn highway...
- As of now there is no official update from the brands end. So, we would request you to wait for official announcement. Moreover, the adv. tourer is fairly capable of cruising at triple digit speeds with ease. For a better understanding of performance and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. - 85 miles per hour but cruising at 60-70 mph all day and fitting a 16 tooth front sprocket will lower the revs and give better mileage per litre or gallon and possibly a bit more top end
- Its normally 2-3 months. But you could try in the metros or cosmos and be in constant touch with the showroom executives. I prefer cosmos and metros bcoz though there are more number of bike bookings, there would also be a cancellation of bookings and if you have a good contact with showroom guys, you can request them to give you the cancellation bike and you can skip the waiting period if you have the chance But one thing to be noted is that, you MIGHT have to compromise on the colour or variant of bike if you are going to choose a cancellation bike bcoz its not sure that the person cancelling the booking would have booked the same colour and variant you desired.
- Waiting time min 2.5 months to 3 but it's always better to know someone from the dealership so that they can try getting the product early
- It's better if you have a well know person in showroom. Otherwise the waiting time is unknown.
- As of now, there is official update available regarding the launch of new paint options for Royal Enfield Himalayan. Stay tuned for further updates.
- No. This bike doesn't offer Kick start. It only has self start.
- Royal Enfield Himalayan has self start only.
- Yes. There is no Kick Start
- Though it is suggested to ride your new bike on a constant and economic speed till your first service or 1000km so the joints of pistons and everything else get settle down. The more constant speed the bike runs, the more smooth these fitting settles. This process causes small wearing of the irons and mixes with the engine oil that's why the engine oil is changed at the first service and after the first service, you can ride freely.
- After 500 km you feel the chenge in throtel responce, after that you can easily cross 80+ but if you hiting max speed then you realise that it a bit of stress full fod this engine but after 1500 km you feel the smooth throtle responce in high rpm
- You can drive anytime you want, speed maintenance and everything are only for old bikes, bikes nowadays come in with lotta technology so it doesn't matter
- Royal Enfield Himalayan is only available with a 411cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 24.31PS of power and 32Nm of peak torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

- So far it ia just a rumor... because i was in touch with RE Technicians and i asked them the same question and thay said RE is going to launch bt don't know the date yet hence i am considering this as a Rumor
- Maybe . But not sure of it . I think they concentrate their attention to this 411c , so the chances are much short
- As of now, there is no official update from the brand's end. Stay tuned for further updates.
- Both these bikes offer a comfortable seating position and a saddle on which you can spend longer hours while commuting. Benelli Imperiale 400 is a wholesome package that offers a vibe-free motor full of character. Its comfortable riding posture and well-balanced suspension setup add to its riding experience. Having said that, the recent price hike due to the BS6 update has made the Imperiale 400 a rather expensive proposition. On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Himalayan would be a great option if occasional off-roading is your thing. However, despite the arrival of new rivals, it continues to outshine them as an all-rounder. Himalayan features spot on ergonomics for touring or standing and riding, better ground clearance, bits like switchable ABS and brilliant off-roading credentials. As of the mileage, the brand has not revealed the exact details for any of the aforementioned bikes. - Benneli is a Chinese brand don't buy 400 cc with under power 20 bhp missing 6 th gear and Air cooled useless
- Tubed Traditional adv trail bikes were tubed tyres. A extra thick tube is worthwhile running in the bike. I personally prefer a tubed tyre on a adv bike
- This bike is equipped with tube type spoke wheels as this is an adventure bike.
- Royal Enfield Himalayan features tube tyres with spoke wheels.
- Royal Enfield Himalayan is the only affordable adventure tourer in India to get a 21-/17-inch spoke wheel setup that comes shod with dual-purpose CEAT tyres. - Hey hello r you suggesting him to go for royal Enfield 350.. wait wait don't listen to him. don't go for 350. it will be you r big mistake in you r life. don't go for it.. buy a highness 350. it is nice bike to ride. no vibrations, no issue, reliable engine. no tappet noise.. I have sold my classic 350 in six months only because of tappet and vibration
- My age 49 no back pain issues 2years back I purchased re 350 and sold it to others after usage of 6months, it is bad choice . In single long ride I found - lot of vibrations throughout the body, after 60kmph the problem further increases
- Himalyan is much more comforatble for both rider and pillion but you can not expect 30 35 kmpl mileage from.it
- As per fuel consumption xpulse get plus marks, but other than that himalayan is most perfect choice for you
- RE Himalayan
- I fitted the Powerage end can and it’s not reducing my mpg it allows the engine to be less restrictive on the exhaust it looks way better and sound way better than stock
- I fitted the Powerage end can and it’s not reducing my mpg it allows the engine to be less restrictive on the exhaust it looks way better and sound way better than stock
- Yes but it is not suggested. 2-3 Kmpl mileage will drop
- Himalyan has some issues with bike getting stalled which are fixed after 1st service so you can go for himalyan too
- Depend on your need, what do you want from your motorcycle first try to know that, ask yourself
- Can go for KTM
- Bro i am from kolkata, compleating rajasthan and north east ride from kolkata after buying that,my little brother also buying same time and going for same trip with me,no problem arise in 10000 km,after that your choice.i bought himalayan in nov 2020
- Most if not all have been solved, the relay issue is fixed with higher quality relays and removing some of the white grease on the relay pins. It’s a nice engine soon to be increased to 450 I hear.
- Get an interceptor 650.or continental 650 according to your comfort
- If your primary purpose is just city rides and local driving, you could do this. But if you want the pure soul of Himalayan to stay as it is, then have the spoke wheels as it is or you can replace spoke wheels with high quality alloy wheels that are being offered in KTM 390 or BMW G310, which would cost more. BMW and KTM used these high quality alloy wheels for their adventure bike segments.
- No...Dont do this...Thia bike is made for offroads...Big rocks, bad roads and bad wether looks like a piece of cake in front of Himalayn... so let it be on the showroom condition.... don't make such modifications...I do around 1.5k kms offroad every month and still my bike is in ready to go condition
- Why the f**k will you put an aftermarket alloy on an offroader?
- Royal Enfield Himalayan was the motorcycle that kick started the affordable adventure touring genre in India, however, the Hero Xpulse 200 is the most affordable adventure motorcycle in India, currently.
- Yes, Himalayan is the most affordable adventure bike with the best pricing for a 400 cc bike. The only drawback is the weight of the bike which is 199kg.
- Very much
- As per your requirement, you may go for Royal Enfield Himalayan. This really is the Swiss Army kerelaKnife of motorcycles -- a capable, versatile, one-size-fits-all motorcycle. Need something to ferry you to the office and back? No problem. Want to cruise the highways on weekends? It’ll do it all day and all night long. Finally had your leave approved and want to ride to Ladakh? This is just the bike for the job. It’ll even keep you entertained on the twisty bits of tarmac you’ll find on the way. Short of hooning about on track, this is the one motorcycle that’ll do pretty much any and everything you ask of it, without protest or complaint. Do take a test ride in order to judge your riding comfort. Check out authorised dealership details.
- No doubt himalayan.
- Go for himalayan
- Selecting between the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Yamaha MT 15 would depend in several factors as both bike have been great in their respective segments. The MT 15 by Yamaha is a great streetfighter and offers a versatile 155cc engine, compact design and sharp
- Give depth review on both and suggest which one to buy
- Himalayan
- For the availability, we would suggest you to have a word with the CSD staff or walk into the nearest dealership as they will be the better person to assist you because it depends on their stock book. You can click on the following link to see the details of the nearest dealership and selecting your city accordingly - Bike Showrooms.
- Yes
- Check with an authorised dealer in your area.
- It is advised to ride the new bike at economical speeds atleast until the first service as the fuel lines get accustomed to the engine and other parts as well. Doing so ensures better fuel efficiency and better performance from the engine.
- You can drive anytime, bikes these days come with lotta technology so it's not like the old times
- After first 2000 kms and the limit is on revving the bike not the speed
- With the BS6 update, the Himalayan have gotten heavier by 5kg. At 199kg, the Himalayan is heavier than the second heaviest sub-400cc adventure motorcycle, the Kawasaki Versys X300, at 184 kg. Some sources claim the weight hike has come in owing to chassis reinforcements made to address customer-generated concerns, but there’s nothing that’s visible to the naked eye. Moreover, you may connect with the nearest authorized service center and they would be able to address your query better. Follow the link and select your desired city for service centers.

- Thanks Akash, but from where do I source the aluminium rims?
- 500km for the first oil change it’s low grade oil they fill it with to flush the engine and clean the manufacturing particulate from the engine and set the valves. After that with good oil it’s 6000 miles or 10,000 km
- 4000 km
- 5000
- Royal Enfield offers 21/-17 inch steel spoke wheels with the Himalayan.
- What paint has using Himalayan rim
- Steel rims power coated with nickel plated spokes that can rust quickly.
- Royal Enfield Himalayan offers a refined and a reliable 411cc single-cylinder engine that produces 24.31PS and 32Nm, 0.13PS lower than its BS4 guise. The bike offers spot on ergonomics for touring or standing and riding proving the bike to be extremely comfortable for long distance travelling. However, travelling for a longer timed period without regular intervals is not advisable due to health issues. - You are comparing Japanese brand with Indian brand bhai, RE is not at all reliable because they r now focusing in quantity not quality
- No himalyan is not as reliable as classic 350m kilometers depend on you that how much you can run without break
- Among the selected options, we would suggest you to go with the Royal Enfield Himalyan as the bike continues to outshine the rivals as an all-rounder. Not only the bike has brilliant off-roading credentials, it comes across as an excellent city slicker. The seat is nicely scooped for the rider and is very comfortable even if you ride for longer hours. The Himalayan gets a 14-litre fuel tank. The brand claims a range of 400 to 500km on a tank full, which sounds good for distance riding. As for the engine, the all-new, air-cooled, 411cc single-cylinder engine feels very refined and churns out 24.8PS of power and 32Nm of torque. The fuel efficiency figures are good enough for someone to want to buy the Himalayan as his daily ride as well. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride of the bike for a better knowledge of comfort and maneuverability. - Himalyan is most comfortable among your shortlisted bikes. You can also check the 650 twins (Interceptor or Continental 650)
- RE is partners with Zigwheels. #sellout #biased
- Hi, I recently bought the Himalayan bike. Just like you, I do noticed that the bike gets heated a lot Initially. This thing continues for about 25-30 kms and then it starts cooling down. Those initial 25-30 kms is hard to ride if we are wearing slippers or shorts. But once the first service is done, I don't see a lot of heat compared to earlier condition.
- For this, we would suggest you to visit the nearest service centre and get your bike inspected as they would be the better people who can let you know about the issue and can fix it. You can click on the following link to see the details of the nearest service centre and selecting your city accordingly - Bike Service Centre.
- Free flowing exhaust like PoweRage may help, check the valve clearances and oil level. It’s air cooled engine and shouldn’t be left for any time running and not riding as the air needs to pass over the engine and oil cooler to keep it cool. Check with your local Enfield garage as it may need adjusting.
- Kindly check user manual it is clearly mentioned that engine oil capacity of himalayan 411 is 1.9 liters only
- Can I use liquid gun semi synthetic from Himalayan
- Rakesh
- It will be challenging ride. But you can manage it while getting experienced in RE Himalayan. The bike has a weight of 195kgs. That will be a challenging weight for 5.3ft height.
- It will be difficult, but sure. You can. The himalayan seems tall but it actually isn't. The weight is the deciding factor here. 200 kilos of pure royal enfield.
- No
- Both are great off road but the ktm is little bit biased towards the road. Depends on where you plan to spend most of your ride on. On highways the ktm would be more than happy to cruse on triple digit speeds but off road the sudden and robust response of torque from the royal enfield 411cc long Stoke engine is something else , but it does not performe as good as the ktm on the highway.
- See RE Himalayan have a good shockers n feels comfortable in off road patch while KTM 390 have stiff suspension but quality wise KTM is best
- Re himalayan, bcz if you see the wheel then understood alloy wheel is very risky for off road.it can break or bend
- Hi Zigwheels.. Can we improve the braking scene on RE Himalayan by swapping better brake pads? If yes, which brake pads would you suggest?
- Did Royal Enfield himalayan bs6 is a beginner friendly bike which is shifting from a pulsar 180
- Rr310 is my choice..a wildcard entry underrated...2020 even better
- Ktm have wide tyre but this tyre are not apropriyet for ofgmf road, but himalayan have spoje wheel tibe tyre, himalayan have a 21 inch front wheel which can overcome any burden but ktm have alow with 19 inch tube less tyre wheel
- Duke
- Yes, it is.though it would have been better if you were taller. you can visualise the benefits of height in slow moving, bumper to bumper city traffic or x country (off roading) where a taller guy is expected to have better control of his bike. you may even have problems in stability with a pillion pillion on slow speeds. while fixing up the accessories, you may not like to fit additional seat cover which are either pneumatic (air filled) or gel based since they would add around an inch and a half or two to the riding height; as well as the handlebar risers may make the ride uncomfortable for you. the panniers would similarly obstruct your exit and entry to the bike while the top box would almost make that impossible. this is not to discourage you, but this is exactly why you won't find many lady drivers (unless she is large or extra large frame). as an alternative, you may even try and consider hero xpulse 200.let's cut out the theory part. go for a test ride with a friend who owns a re himalyan; or if none of your friends own one, or do own one but are too posessive, head to the nearest re showroom where the over courteous staff would help and guide you.happy riding and all the best.
- It should be bit of disguesting while parking on slopy surfaces, am 5'8 and have faced difficulties 3 times while parkign on declined right side and it fell down damiaging the side indicators. so would not recomment less tha 5'8.
- It's a tall motercycle I would suggest you to take a test drive it might be ok after a while but will definitely have some issues tho.
- Nope... Myself and my brother tried once... Bangalore to Kanyakumari... Rider - the experience was wonderful, and who sits at the back- experience is total opposite...
- Anybody knows if there is a backseat for Himalayan ? I have a daughter and it would be great if she could join me in my travels Sorry my english, I´m from Brasil
- You don't have a back rest for Himalayan in the RE store. But you can have it fitted in the aftersale market. A good mechanic could do the fitting well.
- Yes my himalayan is 2021 model and I've faced coneset issue 2 times in just 2 year counting 2023. Coneset issue started after 2/3 months of changing a new cone set
- They haven't changed the cone set in the new model. I am yet to encounter any issues.
- Do you guys wash your bike with that jetspray they use to wash cars and bikes?
- Yes you can get suspension links from Hitchcocks in the uk to raid or Lowe seat height
- Yeah
- Yes
- In HIMALAYAN pillion comfort is best then other... safety is good.. Mileage 30avg... bike looks is MASS
- Bhai go for Dominar 400 power reliability and comfort
- Cz 250
- For the 1st service which is at 500 kms i paid around 1200 rs and for the 2nd service which is at 4500 i paid only 1200... and in 2nd service it was awesome... i changed my con set under warrenty then changed my oil... then chota mota kaam...
- Average service cost once the free services are completed will come around 2000 INR
- Depent on service but usually avg cost of all 4 service is bellow than 1500 rs
- Obviously, RE Himalayan BS VI. most shortcomings of the bs IV version have been worked upon, re designed and re engineered, modified or a new part added. And all this makes this bike an absolute pleasure to drive, both in the city as well as off road. the only benefit that i see of the bs IV version is probably the lower price.
- BS6 Himalayan is better compared to BS4 as BS6 was built after considering the complaints and issues mentioned in BS4 model. And I've seen many BS4 owners complaining about suspension issue which was rectified in BS6.
- I personally prefer the new bs6 with fuel injection to the carburettor model. If I was doing a multiple country off road ride I would opt for a low mileage used bs4.
- Getting 26 , tried 4-5 times and it goes easily 260 km for first 10 litre , it's better to fill up the tank don't wait to consume each and every drop of oil. Better fill as soon as you get a low fuel indication may be you can avoid for some 40-50 km ,better have some 2-3 litre all the time. Can easily go 300 km and refill.
- How you maintain your bike?. These much mileage only gets only if you maintain it properly, i suppose. That's why I'm asking. I want to know what are the things you focused on maintaining your bike?
- I got maximum of 38km/litre for bs6 and still getting 32-33km/litre in heavy traffic condition .
- Yes, you do feel the vibrations on the himalayan when crossing speeds of 100, where you can notice your rear view mirrors start to vibrate ans you wouldnt have clear view sometimes, but changing the mirrors to a good quality ones would do the job. But as a fact, you do feel some vibrations but not to mark that you cannot drive the bike.
- Yes it should be fine and comfortable when u go in 90 to 100.but when go more than 100 and 110 it becomes a little bit vibrating like if any girl rides on it she would definitely get o****m ....but still it is good for under 100 speed and super fine for offroad
- Zig Wheels Admin should delete the next comment of this thread.... Written by someone named Sai.... What an awkward thought to reply and body shaming about girl riders.
- E5 and E10 ethanol added petrol / fuel work fine I tend to buy E5 when I can as ethanol absorbs water and water rusts the tank and fuel systems if left in.
- Nothing will happen man...be cool and go ahead
- Nothing
- The Him bs6 is a different bike than the earlier model version, it’s still a heavily bike but very well balanced. The Enfield has traditionally timed service regimen ( too often for some, but it’s a great bike) the Husqvarna is a totally different beast to the Enfield. The Enfield is a long stroke 4 stroke engine. Check the resale values in your area of the world would be my advice. I bought the Himalayan Scram and love it but it isn’t a fast bike! If a 650cc model comes out that might be faster? The 450cc water cooled RE that’s in development is supposed to be close to 50bhp which is nearer to the rest of the mid sized bikes on the market. We can only hope it’s closer to 150kg dry weight as the Himalayan is 185kg.
- I have a question for you before i can answer. What is the purpose of your purchase?A- if you are planning For long distance touring and off-roading and looking for a versatile machine and not a daily commuter or streetfighter then nothing beats the Himmy in this regard. If you are looking for scrambling and bit of off roading and leisure rides or flat tracking then the Husqi is for you.
- I bought the himalayan bs6 its a smooth bike no problem till date service cost also very less very good folks you wont feel any bumps on the road it is just smooth as that..
- No it\'s a default bike you can search vedios on YouTube and enquiry with the person\'s bought bs6 Himalayan . I too bought the bike it\'s having issues
- Tube tyre always have such kind of prob,bt off road bike always have tube tyre.
- I ride trials on a bultaco Sherpa that’s always had tubed tyres but I run extra thick tubes not Road tubes and it ok
- Two things, it is long (longest Royal Enfield to put it in perspective) and it is heavier than your usual city commuters. Mileage will be an issue, and proper break-in is recommended to yield the desired power efficiency and mileage. If you are comfortable manoeuvring it around, it gives you one of the most pleasurable riding experience in city. Very nimble ergonomics and easy going posture, puts a smile on your face every time. Always wear proper gear before riding this baby atleast a good riding boot, knee guard/riding jeans and ofcourse helmet.
- Yes..our roads are best for off roading..potholes are made like ...as a dream for of roaders ..speedbrakers are the place we can overtake supercars..please don't race with scooters.
- No it\'s a default bike you can search vedios on YouTube and enquiry with the person\'s bought bs6 Himalayan . I too bought the bike it\'s having issues
- Depends, what kind of ride you are looking for.If you r looking for an offroader then its a good choice. You can cover long distance without any exertion (I have done 700+ km in a day). NOTE : It's not built for daily city commuting.
- First think about your need and perpose,if you going for a calm and relex bike which comfotable speed is 80 to100,comfotable for all road, lack of modern facility like led headlight, quick shifter, sliper clutch, quarnering abs, lequide cooling, adjustable clutch leaver, but simple and good
- If you like to buy it, then you should definitely buy it. If you have any other bike in your mind, then comment here so that i can explain and suggest you to buy the RE Himalayan
- People are talking about 30- 50- 60 days delivery i am like... what???? Its been 4 months i booked a himalayan and these royal enfield guys are so blunt in their reply. When i call them to enquire they say that i can cancel the booking... these people sitting in the showroom, they should be taught how to have a decent conversation with the customers. They lack even the basic etiquettes while responding to a query. I will surly upload a video about these guys and how they talk with a hidden camera...
- I booked it on 22nd Sep 20- Its more than 2 months and i have no clue about the delivery date. I dropped an e mail to the customer care but all i got was an apology and the entire blame was put on Covid -19. I understand it is not the BAU scenario but when i visited the showroom i found few new bikes delivered there. The newly launched Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was available. WTF?? Have to wait - By the way guys - Watch our travel blog on youtube - Jolly Shankar
- Hey i have booked Himalayan bs6 on November 20 and yet there is no response. Do i have to rebook the bike?? The company did send me a message stating thanks for waiting, please have patience we will soon let you know about the dilivery dates and they mentioned that they have a surprise for us. The showroom guy said he had no idea about it. I am really confused.
- RE produced enough stock of Interceptor & continental. If Himalayan twin comes existing stock becomes inventory so they need to first close existing stock and launch
- If they're planning, it'll take minimum 3 years to launch 650 Himalayan.. Currently 450 Himalayan under development as per rumors.. So yeah by 2025 there are chances we may expect
- Enfield have a habit of taking its time in releasing new bikes. But they are spotted in development quite often. Don’t hold your breath!
