The upcoming bike gets a brand-new liquid-cooled motor
- The upcoming cruiser is likely to rival the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special.
- Gets a frame mounted fairing like the Road Glide.
- It’s powered by a brand new, liquid-cooled, V-twin motor.
- The new bike could be unveiled later this year at EICMA motorcycle show.
Images of what looks like a brand new Indian Motorcycles cruiser have surfaced online. The upcoming bike is a full-size cruiser with a frame mounted half fairing similar to the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special. From the spy images, it appears that Indian Motorcycles will be launching a full-size cruiser to rival the Harley Davidson Road Glide Special.

The big news is that the test mule was seen equipped with a liquid-cooled V-twin motor. Interestingly, Indian Motorcycles had some time ago applied for patents for a new liquid-cooled V-twin powerplant. Those new motor bears a lot of similarities with images of the engine blueprint. _ __It is reported that the new powerplant will displace around 1770cc and make close to 120PS. Apart from the mystery cruiser, we expect it to feature on other Indian bikes as well. There is a possibility that upcoming emission norms might push Indian to replace its existing air-cooled 1811cc Thunderstroke V-twin motor with this one. _ __ Also read: Indian Chieftain Dark Horse - Road Test Review From the spy images, we can gather that the fairing will feature an LED headlamp and a tall windscreen. Another highlight is the front end setup. It gets upside forks, radially mounted Brembo brakes and what appears to be a 19-inch front wheel. Also, the front rake looks too sharp for a traditional cruiser. It could very well be that Indian is taking feedback from customers and trying to make their new bike handle as well as BMW’s tourers, hence the sporty front end. It could use one of these for its new cruiser, which we expect will make its debut this year at EICMA.
