Looks like Bajaj is all set to update the Chetak. And the test mule of the upcoming e-scooter has been spotted testing for the first time. Check out our story for full details.
The new Chetak will bear a new design. While it was wrapped in camo, its proportions, including the front apron, wheelbase, bodywork, and floorboard, appear much bigger than before. Moreover, the test mule features a revised tail with a new grab rail, split seat, and a large tyre hugger housing the number plate -- all of which look more premium than before.
In a closer glance, even the hub-mounted motor appears bigger. This could mean more power and consequently better performance, which would give it a better fighting chance against its rivals like the Ola S1 and the Ather 450X.
We expect the updated Bajaj Chetak to be launched by late 2022, commanding a premium over its current ex-showroom price, Rs 1.42 lakh.
