Futuristic looks, a monstrous V-twin, and top-spec hardware: the 2024 1290 Super Duke R will set the racetracks on fire
While we were still reeling from the spotting of the 990 Duke, it’s now the KTM 1290 Super Duke R that’s been spotted. And saying that it looks futuristic would be an understatement.
What immediately stands out are the two vertically stacked projector lights which gives the bike an angry look. While it always had a sharp and aggressive-looking design, this revamp takes things to another level. Complementing this is the sharper bodywork, making it look even more menacing.
Powering this beast is a 1301cc V-twin mill making 180PS and 140Nm. We can only imagine what this monstrous V-twin would feel like, throbbing between your legs. And putting a leash on all those horses is the massive tab of a TFT console that has more features than even some modern-day smartphones.
And if that’s not convinced you, the top shelf hardware will. WP semi-active suspension, massive Brembo brakes and 17-inch alloys wrapped in sticky rubber at both ends means this bike is made with one goal in mind, and that’s to set racetracks on fire!
