The upcoming limited-edition motorcycle could get a higher power output than the standard model!

  • Suzuki might unveil the limited-edition motorcycle at the upcoming EICMA motor show.
  • Called the 1135R, it might feature the same electronic aids as the GSX-R1000R.
  • The Katana 1135R could also get a new front suspension setup.
  • If rumours are to be believed, Suzuki is currently working on a limited-edition Katana called the Katana 1135R. The image that you see here is a digital representation of the upcoming motorcycle. Being a limited edition motorcycle, the Katana 1135R could get a slightly new design language and new cycle parts as well.

The overall silhouette of the motorcycle is likely to remain the same, but the image reveals that it gets a redesigned fuel tank, which is likely to be less sharp than the standard model. The Japanese manufacturer could also tweak the tail section and equip the upcoming Katana 1135R with a set of new alloy wheels.

Apart from these changes, it seems like Suzuki might alter the rider’s triangle as it might use clip-on handlebars instead of the single-piece unit on the standard bike for a sportier riding posture. The rumours also suggest that the limited-edition model could feature the same front suspension setup (Showa Balance Free Front (BFF) forks) and electronic aids as the GSX-R1000R. As of now, there’s no information regarding the power figures of the upcoming motorcycle, but expect it to get a slightly higher engine output. The standard Katana is powered by a 999cc inline-four, liquid-cooled engine that produces 152PS of power and 108Nm of torque.

So when is Suzuki going to unveil the limited-edition Katana? Well, there’s no confirmation about that either, but we expect it to be showcased at the upcoming EICMA motor show.
