The 2020 Suzuki GSX-R1000R litre-class superbike was launched in Japan, priced at an equivalent of Rs 13.70 lakh and is available in two standard colours (blue and red), along with a special 100th anniversary colour, similar to the 2020 Suzuki MotoGP livery. The motorcycle produces 197PS and 117Nm from the 999cc inline-four engine. The motor is equipped with variable valve technology, three-level riding modes, 10-level traction control system, launch control, bidirectional quickshifter. For added safety, it also gets cornering ABS as standard.

Underpinnings include a Showa BFF (Balance Free Frontfork) and a linked adjustable ShowaBFRC lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion lite) rear suspension, both fully adjustable. The bike comes to a halt using Brembo 320mm dual discs up front and a 220mm disc at the rear, with cornering ABS.

The Suzuki GSX-R1000R goes up against the BMW S 1000 RR and the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
