The baby supersport has only received cosmetic updates and remains mechanically unchanged
Kawasaki has launched the 2022 Ninja ZX-25R in Japan and it has received a small cosmetic update. The change comes in the form of a new paint scheme dubbed Metallic Matte Twilight Blue. Apart from that, everything else has been carried over from the previous iteration.
The Ninja ZX-10R derived design remains unaltered. The Blue paint scheme with the grey and red graphics give the bike an even more sinister look. Overall, the new colour accentuates the bike’s sharp lines well.
The sharp split LED headlight, taillight, and semi-digital instrument cluster too remain the same. Not to mention, the underpinnings have also been carried over.

The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is powered by the same 249cc inline four-cylinder that dishes out 45PS. And it remains to be the most powerful quarter-litre on offer across the globe. Its 6-speed gearbox benefits from a quickshifter and a slipper clutch. The ZX-25R also gets Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) along with ABS in its safety net. Overall, a decently feature-rich bike.
In Japan, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is priced at JPY 9,35,000 (approximately Rs 6.10 lakh). While that’s what a four-cylinder quarter-litre motorcycle costs, the Indian market isn’t the best place for it since pricing is a key aspect here. So, Kawasaki is unlikely to bring the ZX-25R to India anytime soon.
