I stay in Hyderabad, reading to my query, I know every bulletier would laugh coz my question is about the mileage of 500.guys please help me out coz i need a min mileage of 25-30kmpl. I know one shouldn't look for the mileage if they are going for a bullet, but we can't ignore it either. so please 500 users please tell me about the mileage of the bike. Today I booked one for myself the Bullet Classic 500...but one thing for which I am not happy is the waiting period of more than a month...really cant wait for such a long time. You can take the bike to any terrain, from Khardungla to Kanyakumari. Rajendran PK Thrissur (07 November 2009 20:10) I love RE bullet than any bikes on the Indian road. Its reason is RE BULLET is the only bike available in the INDIAN roads rest of them are just KIDS. The KID'S are used by kids! Most of the comments are discussing about the milage, some about maintenance cost, and few about guarantee. But the RE lovers looks at its STYLE and PRIDE as owner. Still the bullet are the only bullet in the Indian market with such a resale value! WHY, you just think about it. Those are criticizing BULLET is those are not done a ride on IT or fear to ride or CONTROL.. WE THE BULLET LOVERS ARE PROUD OF it bcoz - neighbor's envy owner's PRIDE... You guys just TELL us which new generation bike can beat TIME? Now about 60 year??? But why not RoyalEnfield try experiment into new designs, going more macho. All their bikes are on more or less same platform. I dont say that phase them out, but bring on additional bikes with differnet platforms and enginees. One is a 350 CC with two seats and the other is 500CC with single seater. I am not sure if you could fit it, the rear appeared be to be little higher unlike the std or electra. You should check it out yourself. Its a age old tradition,a legacy people carry when they ride the Bullet. But when it comes to value of money question, i do raise my eyebrow. Agree there is no competition so the monopoly is there for sure, every bullet u buy you pay more but do u get more ? i guess not after the first year of buying a bullet u get to really know the ownership value with all the technology available today, we still c bullet not so reliable as it should be.... I bought bullet 500 in 1996 n still its scratch less , first kick start, no oil leakage. Its abt maintenance. Along side it, i had bought n sold p180, p220 and r15. but bullet 500 is still with me. Its a feeling that cant be described. I agree that there is no comparison between sports bike and bullets and neither of these machines(bullets) are made for tracks but the riding pleasure is intense . Now i am going for Bullet classic 500 which's the machine i have been waiting for @29ps.. awesome!! Bullets rules wherever it is. They are still firm and at a better place than all other bikes. Boss baaki bikes to aati jaati rehti hain, but bullets are standins still in market since from its birth. Hats off for the legendary machine.
