World EV Day 2023: All The Electric Two-wheeler Launching This Year Itself

We also go back in time to recap all the electric two-wheelers that was launched this year

From catering to only the low-speed segment to flooding the market with premium, feature-packed made-in-India EVs, the electric two-wheeler segment has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years. So, on this year’s World EV Day, we are taking a look at the electric two-wheelers launched in 2023 and the exciting upcoming electric bikes and electric scooters to be launched by the end of the year. 

Here’s what we can expect to be launched by the end of 2023: 

Kinetic Green e-Luna

The iconic Luna is making a comeback, that too in an electric version. The Kinetic Green e-Luna will be launched towards the end of September. Here’s a first look at the Kinetic Green e-Luna. 

TVS iQube ST 

When TVS launched the iQube, its top-end variant ST was also announced. But after several delays, it’s high time TVS launches the iQube ST electric scooter.  We really hope the company launches it by the end of this year. 

Raptee Electric Bike

An upcoming electric bike from Raptee Motors, a Chennai-based EV startup, was spotted a while back. It is likely to be launched by the end of this year, probably around November-December.

Orxa Mantis

Bengaluru-based Orxa unveiled the Mantis electric bike at IBW 2022 and it is expected to be launched by the end of 2023. It looks aggressive and packs promising features and mechanicals. In terms of pricing, it is likely to slot just below the Ultraviolette F77, the fastest electric bike in the country, and also the one with the highest range in India.

Ather

Ather started 2023 by taking the wraps off the updated 450X. A few months after that, the EV maker axed the lower-spec 450 Plus and offered the 450X at two different price points. Check out the details here

Ola

Ola Electric launched the S1 Air in February in three trims. On Independence Day, the EV maker launched the S1 Pro Gen 2 and the S1 X range of scooters. Check them out here.

TVS

The TVS X electric scooter was launched in August and the e-scooter is packed with never-before-seen features and sporty hardware. Check it out here.    

Simple Energy

Simple Energy finally launched its e-scooter, called the One, this year. It comes with an impressive spec sheet and sporty styling, along with reasonable practicality.

Bajaj 

Bajaj rolled in with the 2023 Chetak electric scooter. Take a look at what’s new here.

Ultraviolette 

Ultraviolette launched a special edition model of the F77, called the Space Edition. Its production was limited to just 10 units. It costs as much as a small car and yet, all of them were sold out in 90 seconds!  

Tork Motors

Tork Motors launched a more affordable variant of Kratos R, called the ‘Urban.’ Check out the e-motorcycle here.

Kabira Mobility

Kabira Mobility ‘launched’ the KM5000, which it claims to be India’s fastest electric bike with the longest range. Though the company announced the price of the electric motorcycle, its deliveries are scheduled to commence only in 2024.

Matter 

Gujarat-based Matter launched its first electric bike called the Aera 5000 in two variants. It's India's first and currently the only e-bike with a liquid-cooled motor and battery, and a gearbox.

River

Benagaluru-based electric mobility startup, River, launched its first electric scooter called the Indie. Check out our launch story here.  

In other launch news, Odysse launched the Vader at the end of March. Godawari Electric Motors launched the Ebu Flo recently in one variant. And Okaya EV launched its most affordable electric scooter, the Faast F2F.
