Harley-Davidson will be expanding its India portfolio with the launch of two new motorcycles tomorrow. The first of these is the funkier version of the much-loved Forty-Eight, the Forty-Eight Special. Alongside it, Harley will also be launching the 2019 Street Glide Special which now comes with the more powerful Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine.
Harley has changed the riding stance on the Forty-Eight Special from its smaller capacity sibling. Instead of the low flat bars, the Special gets a ‘tallboy’ handlebar. It also gets graphics hailing from the 70’s. This should command a small price hike of Rs 50,000 over the standard motorcycle, the latter being currently priced at Rs 10.58 lakh. We rode the bike last year and you can read about it in the link below.

Moving on to the new Touring offering, the Street Glide Special now gets the larger 114ci (1868cc) engine that pumps out 165Nm of earth-shattering torque at just 3000rpm. That is 15Nm more than the 107 at 250rpm lower. The current pricing of the motorcycle is Rs 30.53 lakh, which should go up by a lakh or two more with this engine update.
