BMW Unveils Its 1 Series Sedan

BMW's new 1 Series sedan is a China-specific product as of now, however, its styling will almost be the same from the concept shown last year.
BMW has not yet revealed any details as far as the specifications are concerned, though the model is likely to be underpinned by BMW sister brand Mini’s UKL front-wheel-drive platform. BMW also stated that car was developed jointly with Chinese engineers and has been fine-tuned to cater to Chinese customers. Also mentioning that the new 1 Series sedan will be a China-specific model and as of now and will be manufactured by the BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd joint venture as its fifth production model. BMW, in a statement, said that the sedan will be equipped with BMW ConnectedDrive technologies that provide customers unparalleled convenience, rich infotainment, and significantly enhanced safety.
It remains to be seen that when the 1 Series sedan will be launched in India, it may be a project for the developers of the next-generation range. As of now the-the BMW does not have a rival to the Mercedes CLA Class or the Audi A3 sedan.
