Mahindra has just dropped the date for the unveiling of its next SUV, the XUV300 facelift. The SUV will be officially unveiled on April 29, 2024, and ahead of that, the carmaker has teased its updated design. The model also has been rechristened and it will now be called the XUV 3XO. Here’s everything we know so far.

In the teaser released by Mahindra, we catch a glimpse of XUV 3XO’s updated design, particularly the connected LED taillamps and its new name badging on the tailgate. Additionally, we see the updated LED headlights, whose design is inspired by the XUV700, and a bit of the new gloss black grille.

While not fully revealed in the teaser, the interior of the XUV 3XO (2024 XUV300 facelift) will be similar to one we recently saw with the updated XUV400 EV. It will pack a floating infotainment system, an upgraded centre console, along with a host of new features as well.

The new features list of the XUV 3XO should include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, Type-C USB charging ports, and a wireless phone charger. Safety-wise, apart from the standard kit, we also expect Mahindra to equip it with certain ADAS features.

Underneath the hood, the XUV 3XO is likely to be offered with its existing powertrain options which include a 110 PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, a 130 PS 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol and a 117 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine option. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual as standard and a 6-speed AMT for the diesel and base turbo-petrol.

You can expect the prices of the XUV 3XO (XUV300 facelift) to start higher than the current model which starts from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will continue to rival the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
