Who Is Keeway And What Is The Company Planning For India?

Eight new products in just a couple of months’ time can be a daunting challenge for any newcomer. Can Keeway rise to the challenge they’ve set for themselves?

There’s always great expectations for a new bike maker to do well in India. And we have the same level of expectations from Keeway too. This ‘Hungarian’ brand (with Chinese parents) aims to bring in eight new two-wheelers by September, an ambitious task to say the least. Here’s what we can expect from Keeway:

Keeway has showcased three of its first eight products, of which we are particularly impressed with the two large 300cc scooters: the Vieste 300 and the Sixties 300i. Both are decently large scooters, aiming to be reasonably affordable and packing some interesting touches.

In contrast, the K-Light 250V doesn’t seem as appetising. It might have a 250cc V-twin motor but its measly 18.7PS and 19Nm are paltry output figures, ones that are bettered by the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise.
