Keeway Sixties 300i vs Vieste 300: What's Different?

The differences between the two run skin deep
Last week, Keeway unveiled three new offerings for the Indian market. Two of these are 300cc scooters, one’s a retro styled scooter, the Sixties 300i, while the other a maxi scooter, the Vieste 300. Despite sharing the same powertrain, there are numerous differences between these two.
Styling
The obvious difference between the two is the styling. While the design of the Sixties, as the name suggests, is inspired by the era of flared trousers and rock music, the design of the Vieste is sleek and aerodynamic coupled with muscular bodywork.
The Keeway Vieste is a legit maxi scooter in terms of its overall aggressive styling and dimensions. Complimenting the fascia are the attractive headlights, powered by four LED projectors with DRLs which should offer ample illumination. The turn indicators sit flush with the bodywork for that distinctly clean look.
The Sixties packs strong retro elements fused with the latest functional hardware. Point in case, the rounded apron and fender complement the squared-off LED headlight rather nicely.
Instrument Console
The Vieste 300 has an analog-digital instrument console that looks like it's borrowed from a car. The scooter comes equipped with ambient temperature gauge, tripmeter, fuel gauge, engine temperature gauge and maintenance indicator among others. It also comes with a keyless fob.
The instrument cluster on the Sixties 300i further continues the fusion of modern and retro elements as it comprises a digital and analogue readout. The scooter comes equipped with ambient temperature gauge, tripmeter, fuel gauge and maintenance indicator among others.
Underpinnings
While both the scooters share majority of the underpinnings, like the front and rear disc brakes, telescopic shock absorbers and dual-channel ABS, the Vieste 300 runs on 13-inch wheels, larger than the Sixties’s 12-inchers.
The Seating Area
The Vieste 300 comes equipped with a single seat with a bum stop for the rider which should enhance comfort over longer distances. The Sixties 300i features a split seat setup that definitely looks comfortable, along with a small tail rack with integrated pillion grab rail.
Furthermore, the Vieste 300 comes equipped with a massive 12-litre fuel tank, while the Sixties 300i gets a generous 10-litre fuel tank.
Price And Competitors
While Keeway has not revealed the prices for both the scooters, we expect the Vieste 300 to be priced around Rs 2.50 lakh, which would slot it between the Yamaha Aerox and the more premium BMW C 400 GT.

The Sixties 300i is expected to be priced around Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom), and it currently does not have any competitors in its category. Although, in the 150cc segment, you have the Vespa SXL 150 and the Vespa VXL 150 to choose from.
