I own a Continent GT 650 BS6 and I too have that tik tik noise...it starts as soon as I start up the bike....within 20 secs it starts...my bike has nearly crossed 1400 kms and this is very disappointing cause it's a new bike...took it to the service center...they did a 'Tappet Adjustment'. After that the noise has doubled and the service center guys say it's normal! Hain? Normal? IT Definitely isn't normal that damn sound. Didn't expect all this from a supposed 'Premium' bike. Also the nuts on handle bar on the horn side below it has rusted already. I had just a single wash that's it. What the hell is going on? I am so disappointed man meri new bike aisa kar Rahi hai...pls pls pls someone suggest what should I do? I think I have received a faulty bike for sure. If not then I am go hard on these service center guys now...Company ne bike release to krdi but no training has been given to the service center guys. They aren't trained enough for sure. Pls someone suggest me something what should I do. I request all my bros reading this comment...I hope you understand my situation :(

Same issue, but mine started from day 1, at first I thought the valves might need some getting used to kinda situation. But after 2 days, when the engine was driven for about 5-10mins and when the engine heat start to build up the sound became louder. I have had few ceased my yamaha FZ-S a couple of times to know when the sound of the engine is not right. tik tik sound in the values in such a performance bike is not acceptable. Imagine riding the bike at top speed, in highways obviously, and suddenly the valves act up. Once my fz's timing change broke loose from its socket as it was not screwed in properly and this was at 80kmph. What if same thing happens?Same response from the service center, this is normal sound, they are checking for sound difference using some instrument to measure decibels.I've never had satisfactory service for my fz, my cars and now 650 twin. I can accept yamaha or skoda as I only approched the authorized service center never expected such no skill or knowledge service from RE directly.

Please warm up the engine 3-5 minutes before moving. The noise may be coming from the valves not getting the proper lubrication. The noise should come down to normal level after warm up.If it still does produce that noise take to service center for a valve clearance recheck.Hope this helps! Happy riding!
