ABS light is staying on whilst riding, have checked fluid levels, what could be the problem?

The ABS light, generally, comes on when you start the bike initially and stays on for a while. The light turns off when you begin to ride the bike. Moreover, the light may come on while you brake hard. If the light stays on always, then it could be an issue with the ECU or the assembly and for that, we would suggest you to please connect with the nearest authorized service center.

I left my GT 650 to the RE service station for this issue only, they kept the bike there for 10 days..checked wiring, cleaned, refitted each and every relay, connectors and what not. They did not find any fault in the RR unit. Today when took the bike after 10 long days..the same problem still persists. Wrote complaint to RE support team. Don’t know what happens next and how this life threatening issue will be rectified!!

My Abs light has been staying on constantly after riding for a while. Seems like it's triggered by the heat. It would not come on during the winter months. But now that summer is here I have noticed the light come on and stay on, meaning there is abs fault, when I brake hard the abs is not activated, and rear wheel locks up. When I let the bike rest, cool down, the light goes off and abs works like normal.

I first changed the abs shimes ($5). That didn't fix it. Then changed the RR unit ($25). Seemed like that fixed the issue for a week. But then it happened again. So then i replaced the battery as it was not holding charge properly ($45). That seems to have fixed the high voltage issues that was messing with the abs signal. My battery was stock 3 years old. Have not seen the issue since then.

I found that R.E. bikes have weak electronics. Remember that all solenoids on cars, trucks, and motorcycles use 'Ground Side Switching'. I would unplug, clean, and use di-electric grease on all connectors. Make sure all connections are clean and tight. Upgrade to a larger CCA battery, a gel type, as big as the tray will hold.

I too having the same issue with ABS light turns ON intermittently and when I break it turns OFF for few seconds. Please let me know if anyone has found the fix.
