Samsung’s smart windshield to enable bikers to ‘check phone while riding’

Tech giant Samsung is really going the extra mile in order to solve the phone connectivity problems of a modern-day bike rider. After launching the Samsung Galaxy J3 with a special bike mode feature last week, it has now given a glimpse of a smart windshield for two-wheelers that allows the rider to operate its phone without reaching to his pocket while riding.

For accessing your phone through the windshield, one needs to have an application on their mobile phone. Terming it as a ‘safety device’ in the official promo, Samsung has highlighted how easy visualisation of navigation would become with the smart windshield.

The phone also enables the rider to view who is calling them ‘so you can decide whether to stop and answer.’ If you don’t wish to answer the call, the windshield also gives you an option to send an SMS to the caller.

The rider can also check text messages and who is emailing them. Various other notifications can pop up on the windshield as well.

Samsung has played up the safety advantages of the smart windshield just like it did with the Samsung Galaxy J3 and its bike mode feature.

The video ends with the catchphrase ‘From now on, to check your smartphone while out riding, you only need to look ahead.’ And we really are looking ahead to find out how this concept transforms into reality, particularly in tough traffic conditions like India.
