Honda Recalls Over 1.9 Lakh Vehicles In India

The campaign has been initiated across the nation for the replacement of faulty Takata front airbag inflators in Honda passenger vehicles
Following the global recall campaign for Takata front airbag inflators, Honda Cars India has issued a voluntarily recall of 1,90,578 vehicles in the country. The affected vehicles consist of the previous generation Accord, CR-V, Civic, City and Jazz.
The company will be carrying out the recall in a phased manner across all Honda dealerships in the country. With direct communication to customers of CR-V and Civic being initiated immediately, owners of other affected car models will be contacted from September onwards.
The replacement of the faulty Takata front airbag inflators for the affected cars will be done at no cost to the customers. Owners who wish to check whether their vehicles are covered in the recall can log on to the company’s official website and submit the 17 character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite.
