Honda has achieved a feat of selling 30,000 Elevates in six months.
The carmaker has also launched the India-spec Elevate as the WR-V in Japan.
This is the first time Honda's exporting the SUV to Japan.
The WR-V gets an all-black cabin theme while missing out on a couple of features found in the Elevate.
Powered by the same 121 PS 1.5-litre petrol engine, paired with CVT.
Rivals SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in India.
The Honda Elevate has reached a sales milestone of 30,000 units since its launch in September 2023, a timespan of six months. Alongside this announcement, the Made-in-India Honda Elevate has now entered the Japanese market, branded as the WR-V. This marks the first time Honda India has exported a model from India to Japan.
Speaking on this occasion, Takuya Tsumura, President and CEO of Honda Cars India, expressed pride in the launch, emphasising its significance in Honda's global business strategies.

Design-wise, the Honda WR-V closely resembles the Elevate sold on our shores, featuring a boxy design and a large front grille. However, the Japan-spec Elevate is offered only with a monotone colour palette, while the model available here provides us with an option to choose from dual-tone exterior shades.

Inside, the WR-V features an all-black cabin theme with a dashboard layout similar to that of the Elevate. However, the touchscreen infotainment system differs from what we get in the Elevate. Overall, the interior boasts an upmarket feel with black leatherette seat upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The Elevate is powered by a 121 PS 1.5-litre petrol engine driving the front wheels. Transmission options for the Japan-spec Elevate is limited to a CVT automatic, whereas the model we get here also offers a 6-speed manual. Prices for the Elevate in India start from Rs 11.57 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with other compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Citroen C3 Aircross.
