Really easy to explain and not only used in super bikes. It is very useful in high speed when you want to downshift and use engine braking. For example, when you downshift from 4 to 3, due to difference in engine rpm,the rear tyres might slip espicially when you dont do rev matching. At that time the clutch will slip by itself to match engine speed and thus eliminate wheel spin.If you like racing and downshifting very much, it will be very useful for you but if not, not that very important.

Slipper clutch gives smooth gear shifting and allows the bike to sustain the engine pressure even when u downshift the gear while cornering
