Q. I am planning to get a bike under 2.5L on road in TN or KA. But, I'm confused between CBR250R and FZ25 ABS. My preferences are Power, Looks, Reliable for long ride, Sturdy, Pillion comfort. I have ridden CBR250R for 2k Kms for a trip and enjoyed it. So, I'm little towards Honda. Please Suggest.
  • In my opinion u should spend some more bucks and go for cbr250 ... I too have it and drove around 32000 kms... Honda has most reliable engine... And it's kind of sports tourer bike... It never betrayed me in long drive but u have to do periodical maintenance seriously... KTM is also there in market but it's a new company and has many defects... CBR sales have gone down... But if u want a reliable bike then u can go for CBR 250r ... And u know Japanese make quality products... And if u want to go for Yamaha bikes... Then u should go for r15 .. it has got everything u need but for long drives it's sitting position is not comfortable... Hope this helps u...
  • Cbr 250r is having more power when compare to fz25 and have more better looks.Fie long ride cbr will give you better performance but I cannot say about comfort as it is sporty bike I prefer to buy cbr250r

Q. Is this bike worth to buy? Please help me to know any pros. and cons. about this bike or any other bike in this segment. - FZ 25?
  • Bro. I've owned this bike for around 2 years now. The bike is great and everything. Its good a good and peppy engine. Great milage considering the power it has. Extremely comfortable seats. The main downside i came across was the weak headlight unit. You could very well get an aftermarket LED fitted on it or go for fog lamps. 6th gear is a problem only when the bike is pushed hard. In normal city driving and highway runs you won't need a 6th gear. The service and maintenance cost of the bike is very less as with all Yamaha bikes. Also it is ultra reliable and won't need too many services
  • Hello. The 2019 model gets dual channel Abs.
  • Pros- Good pickup, Nice accelerating, Good for both city and highway driving. mileage in best with 250 cc segment and it's almost low budget bike in 250 cc also. service center available everywhere cons- Air cooled Bike, little problem in engine hitting specially on long drive and on summer season. Old and 1st model don't have ABS that's a badluck. silencer got rusted with more heat power from engine and even after repeated paint by the showroom still its again looks like iron parts. but still overall it's amazing bike

    Great Bike In This Segment

I have been using this bike for the last 8 years. Honestly, this bike is a legendary bike in the quarter-liter segment, it has a very reliable and smooth engine. The build quality is good but the spare parts are a little expensive and the mileage is quite good for a 250 cc bike. Now I am getting like 30 to 33 per kmpl also the brake are too good. The body balancing is dam good while doing the corners but I have to change the tyres, I have ridden the bike around 47000 km and I'm happy to be owned a bike like CBR250R.

    Impressive bike with high torque

Yamaha FZ 25 gives very good braking and the stability is brillant and the suspension is good for both comfort and stability. The finishing is very good but the instrument cluster is not good for readable. It is great also for top speed and it produce high amount of torque and the pickup is very impressive and smoothly and with less price i like this bike. The mid range of this bike is very amazing and it compete with 200 cc bike and is a very amazing bike for both city and for the highway.

    Good Bike

It offers comfort both in city and on highways, making it a great choice in the 250 cc segment due to its affordability and performance. The mileage is impressive, averaging around 40 on highways and 35 in the city. Its dual-channel ABS enhances braking power significantly, making it safer to ride. The FZ25 is also suitable for long rides. However, its maintenance costs are higher compared to other bikes in its class. One drawback is the lower ground clearance, and it lacks a gear shift indicator. Additionally, it has an oil-cooled engine. I have faced an issue where the engine malfunction indicator lights up after the bike is washed with water.

Because of its strong machine and skillful running, riding it on winding roads and megacity Streets is actually thrilling. A head- turning presence on the road is guaranteed by the ambitious performance and coincidental features. I like how ultrapractical features like the digital instrument package and LED lighting make the ride more comfortable and Stylish. My love for my bike only deepens because of its inconceivable dexterity and ingenious looks. The Yamaha FZ 25 is More than exclusively a ride. it's a confident, Stylish road legionnaire that rules the megacity.
