4.5K Views Follow Question Add Answer44 AnswersMayank | 5 years agoBro. I've owned this bike for around 2 years now. The bike is great and everything. Its good a good and peppy engine. Great milage considering the power it has. Extremely comfortable seats. The main downside i came across was the weak headlight unit. You could very well get an aftermarket LED fitted on it or go for fog lamps. 6th gear is a problem only when the bike is pushed hard. In normal city driving and highway runs you won't need a 6th gear. The service and maintenance cost of the bike is very less as with all Yamaha bikes. Also it is ultra reliable and won't need too many services
Mahesh | 5 years agoHello. The 2019 model gets dual channel Abs.
MdTaj | 5 years agoPros- Good pickup, Nice accelerating, Good for both city and highway driving. mileage in best with 250 cc segment and it's almost low budget bike in 250 cc also. service center available everywhere cons- Air cooled Bike, little problem in engine hitting specially on long drive and on summer season. Old and 1st model don't have ABS that's a badluck. silencer got rusted with more heat power from engine and even after repeated paint by the showroom still its again looks like iron parts. but still overall it's amazing bike
Sayantan | 4 years agoIts the best bike in its segment. you can also look for dominar 250 if you have a little higher budge. But in the 250cc segment and in the price YAMAHA is offering this bike is a beast. There are no vibrations at 130-140 also. And the service is also very good (but it depends on the service center you are visiting). The brake pad really rubs off quickly but other than that it is a very good bike
Liju | 5 years agoGood control, good for long ride ( 2100 KMS in 5 days), on highways, my speed was 90 - 100. Has to apply sudden break and the break was damn good. It stopped without skidding. Mileage on the way to Goa it gave me 44.2 provided the majority of the ride was at night. On the way back it gave me a 41.4. My mileage checking method is full tank to full tank.
All | 5 years agoPros 1. reliability 2. mileage 3. engine refinement 4.look 5.brakes (abs version) cons 1. tyres are not good 2. rear disc brake pads rubs off earlier of its term 3. comfort is decent but could have been little bit more 4. not good for high end speeds, in 80 to 90 you will get comfortable cruising 5.head light illumination system is worsted for night ride 6. service is not satisfied
DEEPAK | 5 years agoI purchased it in 2018, mostly enjoy long journeys on this bike in city maximum speed is restricted to 45kmph for two wheels. I drove 331 kms recently highest speed i went to 135kmph and normally drove at 80-100kmph range it gave 38kmpl on Normal petrol. I like this bike a lot. Fun to ride.
Aditya | 6 years agoYes it is definitely worth the price and it's a very promising package. Everything is well balanced, however when I got the bike in 2017 there was not ABS now it has, that was the con and the headlights are not very bright. Service is cheaper and I recommend using a fully synthetic oil so that the intevel can be upto5-6 thousands KM's. Also you can go with a pair of more gripping rubbers. And the bike won't disappoint. Thank you.
ShivikMittal | 1 year agoIf you want a stylish and racing bike in budget then you should take a look on FZ25. There are many pros of Fz25 such as, Good mileage, better suspension, superb looks, amazing pickup more and more. Cons are like this bike is comfortable but not for very long distance as we have to bend over it and in distant journey our arms were tired and also time to time service are important.
Atirek | 5 years agoYes it is worth buying. Mileage is very good even in city riding and very good performance in Highways.Just don't listen to other bikers complaining about 6th gear.. You really don't need it
Arjun | 5 years agoBro sry for late reply but bike is best for city use not for long rides because it has no 6th gear and tappet noise is coming in 2019 model also please go for gixxer 250
Ash | 5 years agoI own one there were 3 cons 1st one no abs 2nd no 6th gear and 3rd weak head lights. But in the recent abs version most imp con was solver that is the abs now it gets dual channel abs so no prob now. And with the lights you can always add some leds to it.
Praveen | 6 years agoThe FZ25 has good ride quality, city handling, and fuel efficiency. However, the tyres need to be more grippy, and the brakes are below par. Plus there's no ABS. Also, the headlight intensity really bad, despite being an LED unit.
