Since DHL was first brought on board as the Official Logistics and Global partner of Formula 1 in 2004, the company has quite literally moved Formula 1 across the globe. In a recent announcement, the German logistics company declared that it has extended its partnership with Formula 1 and will continue to be the Official Logistics and Global Partner for the sport.

As partners of the sport, DHL will continue to support the FIA Formula 1 World Championship by providing its services including express, ocean and air freight customs brokerage and specialists handling at race circuits.

Roger Cook, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, said, “DHL has long been a pioneer in global transportation and supply chain management and has over 25 years of experience in motorsports logistics, specifically. We are confident that we can continue to add exceptional value to Formula 1 as it expands to new markets and continuously innovates to deliver excitement to its global fan base.”

"We have a longstanding operational and commercial relationship with DHL, and we are more than happy to have DHL as one of our global brands again, who are dedicated to delivering exceptional quality," said Bernie Ecclestone, Formula 1 Group CEO.

Further, like at the end of every season, DHL will also sponsor the Fastest Lap award to honour the driver with the maximum number of fastest laps throughout the season.
