• Q. How to solve Royal Enfield 2020 Classic 350 BS6 self problem?

    Hi, Ayub here. I own Bs6 RE classic 350 since Jan 2020. I had the same battery drain issue and the first time it was a nightmare as my Bike stopped at my friend's house at 11 30pm and didnt started even after 100 kicks, pushing starts. We had to keep it off for 2 hours and then the kick worked (self died). I had sent the battery to the company under warranty but they returned the same battery stating no issue. Then the Service centre charged the battery and gave it back. 2 days after that it got drained again and the same issue repeated. I had to do rounds to the service centre again and again to clear the issue but they suggested to charge it nearby if it happens. Like, dude?! what?!?! Then they suggested to remove the headlight fuse and then try starting it, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. But the issue, the real issue is that BS6 bikes let the flow of current into few components continuously even when you turn off the key. My bike was fine for fee months and again it started giving the trouble (June 2021) I had charged it and in 2 days the same. Go to a mechanic or get a multimeter and check if any current is flowing even when off. The self will work when you run the vehicles for longer durations like 1 hour or more (but only for 1 lucky self-start) and most importantly the problem arises due to battery power draining happen after bike wash. The water enters into places and make the battery drain as it is continuously supplying the power. One better solution is to assemble a good switch at the main + and - poles of the battery that you could actually tune off and not rely on the key. That will help to cut-off the power from the battery completely. Get a good ammeter and voltmeter from aamazon and get it attached (complex connections) to get the real-time data of the power left in the battery. Ignore this step if you thing it may make the power leakage more. I'll think of getting a switch at the battery box somehow. Tips:Clean dry your bike before starting after a water wash. Get a multimeter and check the amperes regularly (voltage will be same)Turn off the key when idle. Use kicks when not in hurry.Don't add unnecessary electronics, or check the connections and seal them properly to avoid grounding and leaking of power.Tell them to charge the battery at every service. They won't do it unless you pressurise them. or you'll have to wait after billing is done to charge it. call in middle and remind about charging.If you are going on a long drive, check the power with a multimeter before leaving.

    My Royal Enfield classic 350 Abs bs6 stops sometimes on road of its own ,what may be the reason .
