4.3I bought it in August 2023.
I bought it in august 2023.First service is yet to be done.Drove it long from visakhapatnam to bengaluru in single day.Started from vizag at 5.15 am and reached bengaluru at 23.30 hrs.Driving experience is simply superb.Power is very good.Only problem i faced is while negotiating speed breakers, We need to shift down to 1st gear is irritating.Even in 2nd gear it didn't cross.Good mileage - average was 15.6 kmpl in odo meter.Pickup in 3rd and 4th gears was awesome. This is the first long trip. So, Experience is limited.More trips i do, More experince can be shared.

The spacious cabin accommodated my family during trips to Chail, and the powerful engine made the drives along the Mall Road exhilarating. Whether it's soaking in the hill station's beauty or embarking on off-road expeditions, the Tata Harrier is a capable and stylish choice for those enchanted by Shimla's allure.

Tata Harrier: Thrilling Drive, Impressive Mileage
The brand-new Tata Harrier was a fantastic thrill ride when I recently got the chance to test it out. The Punch has outstanding mileage in addition to providing a thrilling driving experience. I was astonished by how far I could travel with just one tank of petrol. But the Tata Harrier 's interior caught my attention the most. It was roomy, cosy, and loaded with modern amenities. I had the impression of being in a luxury vehicle as soon as I entered. The dashboard was smartly constructed with all the functions in easy reach, and the seats were comfortable and supportive.

- Tata Harrier has got the design to impress, and save for some minor misses it’s well-equipped too. It’s definitely the one to pick if you want the big SUV experience, or if you want to be chauffeured around to work. Yes, it’s not the easiest to drive inside the city (and that's largely down to its big size), but we reckon one can get used to it over time. It’s the one that currently offers the best blend of city and highway drivability. On the other hand, Skoda Kushaq is great in terms of looks, build and design. But, when it comes to performance, there's little more you could ask for from the two tractable powertrains. It also gets a long list of features, including some premium items too. The slightly plasticky bits in the cabin, narrow cabin at the back, lack of more wow features, and no diesel engine mean this ‘king’ has his flaws. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your city and brand accordingly for dealership details.
- I am using the top model Harrier for last one year. Only complaint is pathetic rear cabin cooling and also front cabin cooling. The difference of temp between the two is enormous. While front will be chilled and rear one will keep on sweting. The grills on tje door of rear cabin hardly functions
- As of now, there is no official update regarding the facelift version of Tata Harrier. Stay tuned for future updates. Moreover, if you are in a dire need of a vehicle, you may opt for Tata Harrier.
- मत लो गुरप्रीत जी, bakwaas है harrier mujhse पूछो

- Yes. Tata Harrier features iRA Connected Car Technology only in the top variant i.e. Tata Harrier XZ Plus.

- All four cars are good in their forte. If you want an SUV with road presence, cabin space and practicality without breaking the bank, the Tata Harrier is the best choice in the sub-Rs 20 lakh price bracket. Tata Safari is a well-balanced 7-seater SUV with a great balance of design, comfort, performance, safety and practicality. Whereas, the XUV700 comes across as a very sensible, usable and family-friendly machine that packs potent engines and incredible segment-first safety technology. On the other hand, With the new Compass, Jeep hasn’t meddled where it wasn't necessary. It’s still the rugged yet aspirational compact SUV that it always was. Thanks to the contemporary design and the soft-touch materials, it now feels near luxurious on the inside. Also, with the quieter riding suspension setup, Jeep even seems to have tweaked the ride characteristics of the Compass to make it everyday-commute friendly. - The Harrier offers ample cabin space and makes you feel like you are sitting in a sportier “in-the-car” position rather than “on-top-of-it” SUV feel. However, there are a few ergonomic issues for the driver, like finding a good driving position that takes a lot of fiddling and the raked A-pillar and large ORVM that create a big blindspot which requires some care when you navigate around roundabouts or intersections.
- It would be unfair to give a verdict here as the engine's overall life expectancy depends on certain factors such as the driving conditions, periodic maintenance, driving style, storage care, engine bay care, etc. In general, a diesel engine is good for 1.5-2 lakh kilometers before it needs an overhaul. Moreover, you may get in touch with the nearest authorized service center for more details.

- Yes, Tata Harrier gets a full-size panoramic sunroof, reserved for the top-spec XZ variant.
- Selecting the perfect variant would depend on certain factors such as your budget and the features required. If you want features like Automatic Climate Control, Rear Seat Centre Arm Rest, Cup Holders Rear, Seat Lumbar Support, Cruise Control, Navigation System, Engine Start Stop Button then you may opt for XZA AT or XZA Dual Tone AT. The only difference between these two variants is XZA Dual Tone AT is available with Dual Tone Body Colour. On the other hand, if you are eyeing for a budget car with all the basic features covered, then the XMA AT variant would be a better pick. - Selecting between the Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos and MG Hector would depend on certain factors such as your budget, features required, space on offer, preference of the segment, etc. If you want an extensive feature list, better fuel efficiency, and a spacious cabin then the MG Hector would be a better pick. The updates add more value to what was already a feature-packed package and should make the buying decision easier for most. If we talk about Kia Seltos, it offers a lot of first-in-segment features, a plethora of engine transmission options, premium interiors, and that too at very competitive pricing. The Seltos impressed us so much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. If you want a comfortable car for your family with great interior quality, ride quality, and a good feature list at a price, with better fuel efficiency, you may go for Kia Seltos. On the other hand, Harrier is simply a better package than it was before. More importantly, it’s now offering what it should have from day one. Harrier simply pummels it when it comes to road presence, cabin space, and practicality. So if you want a proper SUV experience are okay with the quirks that come with it, by all means, get the Harrier. For a better understanding of compatibility and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.

- If you drive less then 50km in a day then we recommend you to go with a petrol car as they are easy to maintain, have a longer life span and they cost less initially then the diesel car. On the other hand, diesel cars are preferred if the average daily run is more than 50km which makes it a feasible purchase. Diesel cars are more fuel-efficient and provide more torque, therefore, are preferred for a person who drives more than 50km. Whereas, the petrol engine has a low service cost, more life span, generally have a well-controlled NVH level and are cheaper in cost than the diesel engines. - Tata Harrier XT Plus variant is only available with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
- Both cars are good enough. If your priority is road presence, cabin space and practicality without breaking the bank, the Tata Harrier is the best choice in the sub-Rs 20 lakh price bracket. On the other hand, the Hyundai Creta is clearly an impressive compact SUV. It is spacious, comfortable, loaded with features, easy to drive and offered with powerful petrol and diesel engine options. It is hard to fault the Hyundai Creta and it comes across as a well-rounded product. You may compare both the cars accordingly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. - Harrier. It is a segment above Creta. It has awesome road presence, it is one of the best looking cars out there. The car is spacious, comfortable and the interiors are premium. The Creta is good only if you want ventilated seats, electric parking brake, paddle shifters, etc. which are not in the Harrier; and consider Creta if these really matters to you. Rest Harrier has everything including a huge panaromic sunroof. So my choice would be the Harrier.
- If power and performance is not a criteria then Kia Seltos, Creta can be a good choice with good infotainment system. If performance is the criteria then only Harrier
- As per your requirements, you may go for the Tata Harrier among the lot. Tata Harrier is the best choice in the sub-Rs 20 lakh price bracket if you are looking for a SUV with a spacious cabin, torquey engine, great road presence and practicality. The Harrier may not be the most feature rich car in the segment but it comes across as a value for money proposition with the features, space and drivability on offer. On the other hand, MG Hector Plus is spacious, delivers better power performance and comes in 6-seater configuration. The 170PS, 350Nm diesel is a punchy motor and feels at home both in the city and on the highway. Sound and vibration levels are kept in check and while it is not the most refined version of the Fiat-sourced engine we have driven, it won’t leave you complaining either. Another good option as per your requirements and budget would be the Jeep Compass that offer good off-roading traits and a powerful diesel engine. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. - Harrier. Very good car, really no comparision. It is a segment above the Creta and Seltos. It is also very good looking. MG Hector may have more features but these features donot really matter much. Harrier has enough features, you will get a panaromic sunroof with Harrier also. Finally Harrier is Indian brand and Tata makes safer cars.

- There is no 4wheel drive option in Harrier
- I have XZA+. it's best car i have ever drove. Power is best. Mileage in city mode is 14+ and in sports mode is 12. Over 4.5K km. Slight disappointing interms of infotainment. But not an overwhelming reason to reject the car. Go for it.
- Yesterday drove 850 Km with 15.1 mileage in 13 hrs due to heavy traffic. Can't ask more than that
- महा घटिया कार
- I prefer red. Black looks great too.
- If you can afford go for automatic. There if you require you can drive manually too.
- Yes, the 2020 Harrier Camo edition has the option

- I have been using it in the city and my car has AT setup. It is easy to manoeuver in a metropolitan city too. You will get used to it. Shouldn’t be a problem. But parking in tight spaces is quite tricky and same is the case with any SUV.
- I don't find problem in Mumbai and Thane.

- Yes
- For that, we would suggest you to visit our sister concern website 'Insurancedekho' and check out the policies available.
- Talk to your car dealer and arrange by self

- Only reverse camera with assistance
- Always see what suits your driving style. In city you can go for city or economy mode. On highway if you prefer to drive with rev and instant pickup choose sports mode (my preferred mode). If it\'s raining put wet mode, on off road choose off road mode...It\'s a beast on road. Change is instantaneous. If you have used economy mode with high acceleration be cautious in changing to sports mode. It will pull like chetah...
- The different driving modes on the Tata Harrier are provided to suit your needs and you may change as per the requirement. Moreover, you may keep certain points in mind like keeping your foot off the throttle while changing the modes.
- As of now, we haven't encountered any such issues with the Tata Harrier and the SUV boasts brilliant build quality inside out. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership. Check out the Tata Harrier: First Drive Review for more details.
- The rear door was painted when i had the rust bubbles last time and now after an year or less they formed again. Need to escalate the issue to senior team at tata. Now its on almost all doors
- I own Tata harrier and it started rusting on the rear fender. There were 5-6 such rust bubbles on the fender It’s a surprise and a joke for the so called premium vehicle from Tata has this kinda issue. And Tata service center says they have only 2 years of warranty on the paint. And it crossed just a month from its warranty period, now they say it is not covered. It might have formed with in the warranty period only but due to COVID never took vehicle out that frequent due to which I might have missed noticing
- Both are different terms and there is no direct comparison between these terms. Kryotec is the name of the 2.0-liter diesel engine and CRDi – Common Rail Direct Injection is the fuel supply technology used in this engine.
- Both are different terms and there is no direct comparison between these terms. Kryotec is the name of the 2.0-liter diesel engine and CRDi –Common Rail Direct Injection is the fuel supply technology used in this engine.
- After driving both I chose hector because of easier riding in city traffic, more features and mainly I needed petrol automatic. Tata sales service is as active as govt agencies, and their trim differentiation is pathetic. No cruise control, reverse parking camera in a car with 20L price (XMA variant). Also you won’t get black color unless you are going for top variant.

My own harrier is still parked at Tata motor workshop due to non availability of parts and fuel pump which got faulty a month back . On my way to Vadodara to indore whole diesel got leakage due to faulty fuel pump and I was stuck in jungle in midnight. Hopeless vehicle from Tata motor. I this modern technological environment this type of quality was not at all expected from Tata’s ..!!!👎

- Anytime of your choice. There will not be any discount I believe..
- There is nothing called white edition. Dark edition is having macho sporty look. If you like black or dark texture then go for dark edition. I prefer normal but my son prefer dark edition
- As per new directives, only car upto 10 L of price is available through CSD for offrs rank . So , harrier will not be available through CSD.

- YES IT IS BETTER
- Not in recent years but if the electric cars wave starts spreading then maybe in 5 to 10 years totally depends upon the nature of the market.
- You can ask this question to TATA on Twitter.
- No not till now.
- It's pretty much improved compared to its previous cars
- I can feel less cabin noise.
- I test driven nexon and harrier both, both had vibration on gear and clutch felt hard and somewhat low quality
- Absolutely none
- Ys
- Well although all are in the same price range, the technicalities are a way different, to be accurate you can't compare it, it has it's own dna of the company. it's on person to person choice i would choose btw kia and harrier
- Shanghai Motors owners of Saic China bought MG and GM Asia brands and rebranded their Baojun 530 (Chinese: 宝骏530) as Chevrolet Captiva; MG Hector (India) and Wuling Almaz ( Indonesia).
- Harrier looks king
- It's the design of the company, you can't get it altered in after market accessories.
- Steering sound move karte samay jyada ata hai
- No sound found
- No it is available in accessories
- No
- Not sure but they mention about the current prices as introductory prices so i think they might revise the prices. But with stiff competition in the segment from MG and Kia Seltos there is a huge discount on Harrier currently. I suppose this is the best time to buy it and they too have resolved the niggles with the Harrier via the couple of software updates.
- Both are different segment. I like the noise level at sports mode. No noise in eco and city mode
- Yes, but it isn't a deal breaker
- Harrier me jyada noise hai
- It's in a different league altogether
- If you want an SUV with road presence, cabin space, and practicality without breaking the bank, the Tata Harrier is the best choice in the sub-Rs 20 lakh price bracket.
- Harrier! It is an awesome product. Amazing driving dynamics, enough tech to keep the passengers safe and entertained and is a pleasure to drive on the highways...
- Tata harrier is best
- None and has a very low cost of ownership.
- No hidden charge
- I don't think so Mohan but personally I like it this way.. It has enough tech on the driving dynamics side and that makes it fun to drive in its different modes.I've XZ ver.. It's really a fun suv which initially I thought would be tough to drive with such big dimensions but I would say, it looks like a real big suv but rides like a sedan.. That should tell you that it's a fun suv to drive around more so on the highways. And yes, the niggles with it have been resolved. The two software updates have made quite a few improvements.Still there are some areas which would need an improvement but not a deal breaker it is.
- Slight n****e are there. Connecting features are not so overwhelming if you are sports crazy. If you need power and performance then harrier. I drove at 165 kmph without any challenge (only for test drive not recommended to drive above speed limit of the area). If you need fancy then harrier is not the option.
- Thanks Ninad, for the user thumbs up for the Harrier. Yes, hoping and waiting for Harrier AT.Yes i too felt that it drives like a sedan ( during the Test Drive). Surprisingly, I did not get the same comfort while test driving, Jeep Compass.
- There was a slight rattle/not frequent near the dashboard but after the first servicing it has stopped.
- I would give an 5/5 to body panel's but dashboard is taking oly 3/5
- No not yet
- No
- It dosen't come with automatic transmission as of now.
- Automatic
- Yes Tata harrier is totally worth of money and the reliability is better than any other cars according to me😀
- Thr company had not yet confirmed any news about the automatic version.
- Take tata ride and then go for mg , tata platform is high quality ,where as mg is chinese low grade material , tata has high but quality ,mg has low , think of life ,tata wil save your life ,youre not going to play internet after death . So life saving tata .has good ground clearance , and the best suspension . I m tata customer .I saved my life twice . Thanks to tata
- Top automatic XZA+
- Because u have to use main wheels permanently and stepnie as temperory wheel only till u find mechanic to mend your tyre. And also it is one of the point in BS6 guidelines about using stepnie only for the limited distance
- This is ridiculous thought process. If tyre is punctured and needs to be changed in night. How can BS6 or Tata decide what limited distance you should travel (when you have to travel whole night) ??
- This is ridiculous thought process. If tyre is punctured and needs to be changed in night. How can BS6 or Tata decide what limited distance you should travel (when you have to travel whole night) ??
- I don't find Harrier underpowered ever more so when we've three drive modes, City, Eco and Sports which do the job perfectly as needed. Sports gives you a pretty good surge in power when needed like, ghats, overtaking or just slaying the highways.
- 138 hp is more than we can use on Indian road conditions. Go for test drive and you will feel the power of this car.
- After two software updates I'd say the steering is better, gives better feedback and confidence at higher speed. Earlier steering was very light just like Hyundai, Volkswagen or Mahindra vehicles but I personally don't like that light a steering.About NVH (cabin and engine) both are better. The engine is a bit noisy but after the second update I find it a tad lesser noisy but anyway I don't find it much of an issue. I would prefer the cabin more insulated than the current... Not its own noise but I see the surrounding vehiculars noise seeping in the cabin. Wish the insulation was more better.About gears I suppose the notching has reduced but not sure whether it's because of a service done or more of a running in has helped that too improve.
- We got the call from the service department, and they made sure that things have been fixed.
- The regular intervals.
- After few thousand km run, the emission test is mandatory from the RTO
- Fiat 2.0 ltr. The same engine which runs the Jeep compass, Hector (if i'm not wrong)
- Fiat engine with 170 PS power with Hyundai auto transmission
- 6-Speed Manual Front-Wheel Drive Power 138bhp 3,750rpm Torque 350Nm 1,750-2,500rpm.2L Kryotec Diesel Engine from Fiat
- In your Left Hand Side of the driver seat. 😀😀😀
- There is new type of hand break
- What is your preference. Whether you need 5 Seater or 7 seater. Go accordingly. If 5 Seater then harrier is the best. If 7 seater then Innova or can wait for Gravitas
- Now here is the competition between budget, no of seat and also the comfort. If 5 seater go for Harrier if u want 7 then it's Innova . Plus Innova top almost touches 28lakhs while Harrier u get it for 22lakhs max
- I prefer TATA Harrier
- Yes
- Probably with amt launch it is expected for the variant upgrade.and no it doesn't has dual climate control
- A test mule has been spotted recently with, automatic, 18 inchers, and with a bigger sun-roof than the currently aftermarket they provide
- Only company can answer. But not seems like
- 17 inches is all it got and automatic will be in market soon
- It has got different drive modes. But off-road is not one of them. Yet it has sheer power can go anywhere
- It's fantastic
- Yes it can go to any mode
- As of now Harrier is available in Diesel only. But there are speculations that a new Harrier would get launched with 4X4 drive modes and a 1.5L turbo charged petrol engine too.
- Nope maybe soon.
- Not yet
- If you want automatic car for a shot trip then hector is ok,for a long trip and the durability, performance, comfort harrier is the best . Demerit of harrier ie. doesn’t hv sunroof ,not enough big screen as compare to hector,And its a manual car
- Harrier is far superior product based on land rover discovery platform and jeep compass engine.Harrier has best ride quality and more cofident at high speed Hector is cheap Chinese product.Harrier XT is more value for money.
- BOYCOTT CHINA , GO FOR INDIAN MADE TATA.TATA HAD DONE LOT FOR US.IN TERMS OF COMPARISON , BOTH ARE SAME IN SPACE & PERFORMANCE,SAME ENGINE BUT HARRIER LOOKS GREATS WITH ITS MUSCULAR DESIGN
- There is a bit of noise but not so hard that you can hear it in cabin regularly!!!
- Not so high.... The engine has become smoother in due course of usage. I have reached 10k kms with this car and now the untuned irritating engine sounds have stopped.
- Yes it is noisy compared to compass and creta. And way too noisy compared to seltos..
- Top variant XZ has 9 speakers (4 speakers, 4 tweeters, one sub woofer). Excellent sound quality inside cabin par no other car in the segment.
- Which jbl speakers are used in harrier
- Which jbl speakers are used in harrier
- Pick up is excellent in sports mode. But real pick up kicks in once you reach around 60kmph and that's when the turbo punch gets activated. Way smarter engine than Safari.
- Different segments both are. But if you are looking for rich looks and smooth drive quality go for Harrier. Old school kind of car is Storme, but has good engine power and offroading capabilities too. Depends on what your budget is and what you are looking for. Go for test drive of both vehicles and you will get a picture.
- Harrier
- 170 PS and 350 NM Torque
- Engine is named as Kryotec engine, which in fact is Fiat engine used in Jeep Compass, re-tuned to 140bhp.
- Both are different segment. One creta is 1.5 lit engine and Harrier is 2 lit with 170 PS/ 168 BHP power
- Creta
- City mode in mix of city and High way 14.5 and in sports mode in city and highway mix is 12. Tested over 4.5 K km
- In economy mode I am getting a mileage of around 13kmpl in city. And in Spirt mode on highway, I am getting a mileage of around 17.5 kmpl at a speed of 90-95 kmph.
- City 11-13 depends on the traffic, highway its 16-18
- As per my knowledge, there are no such additions in extra accessories provided by Tata. So may be you cannot get the LED DRLs from Tata. May be you need to wait for those after market accessories developed by enthusiasts.
- Drive quality is amazing. Just make sure to test drive your car after delivery on wide open highway to check the steering calibration. Few Harriers have got steering complaints like my car used to steer left very prominently if I leave the steering. Thst has been adjusted by Tata immediately and now my car is wonderful to drive in any road and weather conditions. Absolute thrill.
- The best car I have ever driven...
- 2 years, can be extended to 5 years.
- XE is the base model and XM has got some cosmetic features to it.
- Visit the following website and check for yourself.https://harrier.tatamotors.com/variants
- If you are looking for powerful engine, with wonderful road presence and spacious family car - then you can eliminate Creta.Between Harrier and Compass, if you read my Tata Harrier review you will get necessary details.
- Out of the above 3cars harrier is really worth money and better than both of them!!
- BSVI norms will start from April 1st 2020. Cars released before that do not need to comply to BSVI norms. As per my knowledge, I think the existing models which are released after April 1st 2020 need to comply BSVI norms and the price will be very higher then.
- Yed
- Don't worry. It works fine. Both are in same segment except 4 wheel drive of jeep compass. I like Harrier top end
- Please check my review of Tata Harrier. I guess all your questions will be answered.
- In 2019 Auto expo, Tata has revealed 7 seater Harrier. In international market it is named as Buzzard. It is bound to release in 2020 first quarter. But the price will be around 30L as the engine power will be 170 bhp for 7 seater version. Harrier has power of 140 bhp.
- Safari is better for 7 seater cose built quality of xuv500 specially dash board for off roading
- Its 7 seater varient is coming next year
- There is a minimal sound of the engine which enters the cabin!!!
- Yes. Engine is noisy one.
- Jeep Compass has better offroading capabilities as it has options of 4x4. And engine power is 170bhp too, which makes drives on highways a pleasure. But, if the price is a factor then 4x4 Jeep Compass costs you on road 27-28 lakhs. Harrier has got adequate engine power to cruise through, awesome front and rear suspension, minimal off roading capabilities and all saefty features Jeep 4x4 offers - All these at a price of 20.5 lakhs on road (Harrier XZ including extended warranty to 5 years.Choice is yours basing on what you want vs what you can pay.
- In any car, the fully loaded, top end spec is asom
- Depends on what you are looking for at what price range.
- BS 6
- Tata harrier We can buy bs4 or we have to wait for bs6
- Tata harrier We can buy bs4 or we have to wait for bs6
- See, it's simple! Tata Motors didn't use an engine of their own in the Harrier. The used the FCA Source Jeep's 2.0 litre engine with 170bhp and 350Nm of power and torque respectively. But, in the Harrier, they detuned it to 149 bhp. Now, since it'd been long since they manufactured a big car, especially of an engine this big. For the SUV stance, they kept it raw-be it the gearbox, the clutch or even the insulation levels for that matter. But in the 2020 Harrier, all those issues have been addressed by Tata Motors, and the Harrier is now really a great car to buy...so go ahead and get it

- 1st to 2nd gear is notchy. Apart from that gear acceleration is pretty good. Gear ratio is also pretty good for the pricing.
- Awesome
- Option to purchase. Not coming as standard fitment
- Go for STORME i nstead
- Nope
- Depending on number of seat choose. Both are different categories
- Harrier does not have Automatic yet.
- Harrier
- Radius is very comfort
- I did check but the confort of travelling was a massive it will not lag the passenger
- Unless its comes with full sunroof like compass or MG Hector.....doesn't make sense with small sunroof...and dangerous when kids stand while driving...its better to enjoy view with seat belt on
- If you are interested you can buy wait for the patientence i think it will become more features to come in sunroof so wait for the next version tthats only
- In accessories Tata motors has given an option of installing sunroof for Harrier. It costs around 95k extra.
- Hexa Automatic XTA is the best option or buy Harrier XZ model. Both are very nice cars and take test drive of both the cars. If you want feature rich car then go for the Harrier and if you want best automatic transmission in this category around 20 lakhs then go for the Hexa. If you want around 10 to 12 then go for ecosport. Diesel and petrol ecosport is fun to drive. Ecosport is known for its safety features, frugal diesel engine, its touchscreen infotainment is best in its class and easy to use, sound quality is superb than its rivals, great ride quality, superb build quality and take test drive of both petrol and diesel. Buy Titanium or Titanium+
- Real SUV starts from 16lac onward isuzu vcross..XUV500..Harrier...HEXA...20lac...compass...30lac..Ford endeavour...35lac...fortuner....then..go on....if u wanna budget offroader...go for THAR...mini suv or sub suv...ecosport...duster...!
- It got 4 tyre...steering...5 seat...boot space...diesel engine......what really ur looking for.....?does have apple play..cruise control...JBL speaker...real beast presence onroad...
- Fresh looks both interior and exterior. Surprising comfort factor in driving, seating, infotainment, suspension at such low price.
- Go for test drive of Harrier. Will you like it or not depends on what you want in the car you're buying. Harrier has wonderful interiors, infotainment system, road presence compared to XUV500. But XUV500 has got powerful engine, extra features (sunroof, rear disc brakes, 7 seater) compared to Harrier. Depends on what you want.
- I drove XUV500 W6 automatic....did Delhi to kanyakumari trip.....it have severe alignment issue...tyre get worned off too fast ....now I'm driving Harrier top end...simply awesome...much better interior...fiat engine...
- Mast hai
- Harrier is 5 seater SUV, Marazzo is 7 seater MPV. Choice depends on what you want. Looks? Performance? Power? Comfort? Safety? Features?
- What....how can u compare 10lac MUV with 19lac SUV....kuch bhi....?
- U cant compare both....harrier is 1900cc 5 seater and hexa is 2100cc..7 seater...outer size wise both are real beast....harriet being sporty...hexa more of family
- Smaller than Hexa.
- No less than that
- As per suggestions from experienced drivers, for Indian conditions the meat (tyre) should be more bulkier to protect the wheel. The current 17 inch wheel size is ideal for 235/65 tyres of Harrier XZ. If you add 18 or 19 inch alloys for same 235/65 tyres, the height of the car increases, which in turn adds extra weight and strain on suspensions, the speedometer calibrations will not adjust for new tyre diameter. So many complications arise. So go for after market 17 inch alloys if you really want, which may cost around 60-70k extra (of good quality) for all 4 wheels.
- Never change tyre specifications as car is built as per that norms...onroad price in Delhi costed me 19.36lac
- How about 255/50 R19?
- Recently bought harrier only 20 days old I got mileage on highways around 18.4kmpl speed not above 100kmph
- Any restriction in speed or high revving before first 2000 km? Planning to go on a 1000km tour after delivery.
- First 3 service is free. So till 1 yr or 15 K km no expenditure. First service is on 2months or 1k to 2k km, 2nd with in 6 months or 7K km 3rd is with in 1 yr or 15 K km with engine oil change.
- U cant compare mileage of 1500cc engine with 2000 cc engine....and when it comes to road presence...Harrier is real beast with 12.5kmpl after 1st service..1200km ....but if u want 1500cc segment...then I would recommend ecosport....I earlier owned it drove 90000km..including leh ladhka trip...real sub SUV with 18kmpl mileage I got
- TATA & JEEP GOT BUILD QUALITY OR BODYBUT IN TERMS OF EFFICIENCY FORD ECOSPORT
- Bhai don’t ever think of buying harrier as it’s a hopeless vehicle.
- In terms of safety features when we compare both of the 2 cars priceing it will surely will be seen as a value for money product ,its much spacious then creta expect sunroof it has everything creta have and even more then that of in creta in terms of power cretas engine will be more punchier then that of harrier but in terms of in gear accelration harrier is better and in gear acceleration matters when doing overtakes on highway it has better audio system and esp,ba,break force distribution, hill hold ,hill ascent assist to help u out so in my opinion you should go for harrier
- CRETA & DUSTER ARE NOT EVEN IN SEGMENT OF HARRIER & XUV 500WHEN ITS COME TO SEGMENT & VALUE FOR MONEY , DRIVING DYNAMICS.HARRIER FOR WIN WIN.EXCEPT ONE CONS- ITS 5 SEATER AS COMPARE TO XUV 500
- 3 YEARS
- I don't know
- I would suggest go for top model xz...dont lose on all feature just save few...as u already spending more than 18lac...go for top end
- Ya u can buy but some features may miss
- Blindly go and buy
- I already drove 1200km...really awesome amazing driving comfort....still centre of attraction in red lights...
- Best in it's class
- Its been 2500 kms in a month, City Mode giving 16+ mileage provided you drive within 50-70 speed. In Delhi this speed is not a choice. I have been to Highway drive once and it offered 21kmpl.I am honestly super happy with thr car coz of its road presence, SUV stance, drive quality, mileage Nd style. I have nothing to complain except couple of times infotainment screen hanged but then got fixed automatically while switching off and turning on engine. Nothing beats Harrier. Infact at times, it gives discomfort to fortuner owners when u park next to them 😉
- I'm get 12.5km till now....1200km
- 16 and plus
- What is the on road price you bought and how is your experience
- I own XZ...and it have all feature ....of topend
- Https://harrier.tatamotors.com/variants/compareCheck this site for which variant has what.
- No Navigation system is provided even in top end. However you can connect to Android Auto and using your phone, can get the directions on your car's screen.
- It have android auto....once u login u get gaps navigation on screen...also I have fitted with gaps tracker to get details of my harrier...
- Yes. You have option to connect to Apple CarPlay.
- Not available yet but tata motors has confirmed that the harrier will get an auto gearshift as well by mid 2020
- No, not yet... Expected an automatic in first half of 2020
- As of now it's available only in manual
- On the mechanical front, it provides a comfortable yet engaging drive. On the interiors however, it does not at all feel premium. The plastics are hard, the fit and finish is very average, the parking brake is mechanical etc. It is built like a truck and unfortunately even feels like a truck when you're inside.
- Yes it does feel premium from in and out. Manual transmission of harrier feels good but definitely not premium. overall Best buy for the bucks.
- Yes of course
- If you're planning to go with the Jeep Compass, don't get the automatic transmission variant. On enquiring in the showroom, I was told that the clutch replacement cost in that car would be Rs.75,000/-, which you'll need to do frequently, given the clutch issues in the car. Moreover, you won't get a good enough variant in your budget. The Harrier is the biggest car which you'll get in this price bracket. However, one issue with the car is that it doesn't have disc brakes at the rear, it has drum brakes at the rear and disc at the front. Given the huge weight of the car, braking at higher speeds is an issue, which Tata has now resolved with the launch of the new Safari with all disc brakes.Don't buy Brezza if you're enthusiastic about fun driving. Also, it feels really less premium than the counterparts. I suggest you to go with the Creta Turbo DCT. It's fun to drive, well-built, and of course loaded with features to the brim.

- Tata Harrier is good among these SUVs if you are looking for manual diesel but I felt the steering is kind of heavy or hard to drive not a easier one or smoother one in Harrier, but if you are looking for automatic you could consider hyundai creta automatic gearbox is so good in creta, Jeep compass you will get a base variant in your budget which I think is overpriced a bit, hyundai Tucson will also cost you around starting 23 lakhs but a good car to drive, and breeza is a good in its segment but lacks performance.
- I would suggest go for ecosport titanium automatic...it comes with DCG...apple play cruise control...reverse camera....above all low maintenance....I drove it for 90000km before shifting to XUV500....very bad experience....now I'm with tata harrier..
- THEY ARE FROM DIFFERENT SEGMENT.XUV 300 IS COMPACT SUVBUT HARRIER IS FULL SIZE SUV WITH BIGGER POWERFUL ENGINE
- Harrier is much better it looks different from the crowd.
- Nope....20km/day....diesel engine is not worth.....wait for petrol version..or go for jeep compass automatic petrol...
- Yes Right decision no need for insulation
- Go for w7 I xuv500...with cruise control ...apple play.....touch screen..u can add reverse camera In system from dealer
- Go for Harrier it is much better. Mahindra cars are wasteKeep Mahindra, Suzuki, Isuzu Brandsyour least wanted cars
- No Harrier is much betterMost Mahindra cars are waste ofmoney
- I agree with the Zigwheels on this. I too would've preferred a better damping/insulation for the Harrier
- JBL speaker with best sound...take care of smooth drive...driven 900 km..in Delhi road...no issue...love the presence on road...real head Turner beast
- I don't experience jeep compass so i cat tell you that
- Depending on your passion you can choose. In 15 Lakhs you may not get the base variant of Harrier. It's always prefered to go for top end of any car. So accordingly you can choose
- I would suggest ecosport automatic petrol titanium....it have all best feature and 1500cc....value for money...and service charges is lowest....I have driven it 90000km leh and ladak...very though very stable.....or increase ur budget and go for jeep compass petrol.....I won't suggest diesel engine with low running...less than 80km
- What's the mileage that you get for Petrol Titanium plus Automatic Transmission Ecosport?
- Both are completely different segments, and there are not even in same priceband nor they are rivals, we suggest you to do this on own and deside which is better for you!!!
- Cant be compared...marazzo should be compared with 7 seater 1500cc...like maruti ertiga
- Powerful, stable and comfortable
- I'm driving XZ...top model...I would suggest u to buy car with all feature ...dont misout after spending 17lac...for few more lac 2.5lac to be precise
- Difference of touch screen and some cosmetic changes
- Sir i think u dont knw but tata launches automatic after studying market and almost after an year, same was with nexon so dw its definately gonna come and i dont understand how cn u say u doubt
- I had gone to book TATA Harrier but was little reluctant as I was originally looking for automatic. The dealer confirmed that they received official communication of its launch in October 2019.
- As of now the company haven't announced, after driving the harrier and understanding the power of the engine I doubt that it'll come in automatic
- One can't compare these two vehicles. Not that XUV300 is not good but they both are from diff segment. And Harrier has LR underpinnings and it shows in the way it drives. I've drove, XUV500, Innova, and other of this segment but no fun like Harrier ..the way it handles itself, the way it smoothens bad roads at higher speed, and it goes on and all
- Cant be compared...real comparison is compass with Harrier or XUV500
- 2 to 3 segments both cars are. Cannot compare these two.
- Refer the comparison catalogue from all car comparison sites
- XZ is top model....once ur plan to spending 18.5lac on XT then spend 1lqc more and buy SUV as complete....worth it...every penny
- XZ is very confirm
- We just went for drive with 4 people in back seat ...total comfortable....just used ac....simply awesome....boot space is too big....
- Good
- I think for less than 50km per day run...u must go for petrol engine....go for ecosport automatic 12.5lac or jeep compass automatic 24lac....XUV500 petrol is not good...tata harrier petrol not available for now
- Xuv 500
- Go for HARRIER XZ.....u can't compare it with XUV300 in any sense....
- Go for Harrier. And go for XM model
- No engine noise when drive in city mode. When sports mode that noise is fascinating.. I like that noise
- Not much.....let the music take control...enjoy being on first floor while driving on the road...as Tata say....it's how safe matter then how much mileage
- Exactly right
- Top speed is 220 but can drive upto 180. Not recommended to drive above the speed limit of the lane. For features please refer the comparison sites like here, carwale etc
- I think....till 2nd service I won't be crossing 60kmphr....cruise control is awesome....pickup is good...but I prefer eco mode....it's fun checking insta full mileage...help in controlling the Michael Schumacher in me...!
- Shakti1 minute agoI would suggest....go for top end.(19.5lac)..by adding 3lac to base mode.(16.5lac)..l ...u get all feature must for Suv...cruise control....applecarplay...17inch alloy....JBL speaker....awesome system...hill dissent....eco drive....keyless pushbutton is too good...I just keep in handbag....base model is worthless...then u should go for ecosport top end for 12.5lac......which include all these feather..with 1500cc engine...and lowest maintainance
- Good as compared to rival base ends
- I just drove 330k.....real cost of service will come after 1year .....I loved ecosport for that ....drove nearly 90000km in 2.5year....truly awesome compact suv
- First 1 yr zero
- Noise is too much, I am annoyed by some horrible sound at different rpms , don't go for harrier
- Only thing I hear inside cabin is awesome music from JBL speaker.....using my applecarplay....real time navigation...and my great collection of music from gaana.com
- No
- If u compare with compass yes....but with XUV500....no....but much better in overall....
- महा bakwaas gaadi
- I would suggest....go for top end.(19.5lac)..by adding 3lac to base mode.(16.5lac)..l ...u get all feature must for Suv...cruise control....applecarplay...17inch alloy....JBL speaker....awesome system...hill dissent....eco drive....keyless pushbutton is too good...I just keep in handbag....base model is worthless...then u should go for ecosport top end for 12.5lac......which include all these feather..with 1500cc engine...and lowest maintainance
- You neame it it is there. Power and driving pleasure..
- EACH & EVERYTHING
- Being big suv from outside...it's quite luxurious from inside...mine is top model XZ HARRIER...engine being same as compass...and platform of land rover...feel is too awesome...real worth is when in red light stop car next to u ask how is it....and say from outside it just stand out in crowd...music system JBL is too good....4 people can sit in back seat easily.....
- Drive quality of Duster is better than Harrier. Even offers 4x4 option. Looks wise both have good road presence (Harrier has edge in looks). If you can wait Duster face-lift model is to come sometime by 2020 first quarter. Wait for it, as it may have lots of addition of features and far muscular looks than current model (also price can get hiked because of the additions). It will be class apart as it is and will the only car with genuine 4x4 option in the price bracket below 20 lakhs. But, for immediate purchase, if you like to have huge wagon kind of car for long drives Harrier can handle the drives graciously. Drive quality is great even at 100kmph, power, performance, safety, suspension and even interior comfort are all awesome for Harrier. If you can shell the extra bucks, go for Harrier.
- Both suv can't be compared.harrier(19.5lac onroad) much better than XUV500 which had with severe alignment problem that tyre worn off within 12000km....I would suggest u ecosport then duster which I drove nearly 90000km .2013-2016.including ladhak road trip...met with accident twice from back side each time with innova...quite safe...I got 17kmpl avg...maintainance was quite low..with 1500cc engine...!
- You compare tin with the tank? Duster ride and handking is a benchmark on indian roads.
- Again these both car can't be compared....I rather suggest u to go for ecosport....I loved it...compact Complete SUV

- Punchy engine, fun on the highway more so in Sports mode. Pretty agile, it instills confidence in you while driving at high speed unlike other suvs I've drove due to too soft suspensions or high body roll... It has good stability, almost no body roll, planted and eases out rough roads. The drive modes do work like charm for what they made for, rough mode does changes the drive dynamics, more responsive suspension, etc.Initial issues with drive mode, etc. I'd experienced have ceased after couple of software update which is done free of cost at the service station. The newer version I heard is going to be launched with company fitted sunroof (personally i dont dig it), bigger tyres (from 17 to 18), tyre monitoring system, etc.
- Bhai don’t ever think of buying harrier as it’s a hopeless vehicle.
- Hi I am using Harrier from last month driving this car superb without any discomfort. JBL sound system is suberp quality. Speed mode is amazing. Cruze control is amazing and average is 16 K.M. Lookwise it is class then MG Hectar, Kia Seltos and Jeep Compass. I had used safari 3.2 ltr for 12 year the Tata Motors has changed all there visions of making car with affordable price and with best quality. Thanks Tata Motors.
- NOT TOO SOON
- No
- Yes it might take couple of yrs
- Automatic is available. 7 seater will be available soon Named Gravitas
- Safari is there for 7 seater and Harrier will always remain a 5 seater
- No idea
- Yes perfect driving pleasure with 209mm ground clearance and best in class steering control on XZA+I am loving it
- I have drove 1000 km...just today sent it for first service....had awesome drive....its a real beast on road....
- No idea about hill terrain. But G C are good compare to others

- Harrier is big in every way than jeep compass Compass has. A premium feel in the cabon. But harrier is no less. With it's gigantic road presence and thought build. And almost a huge difference in price. If you have budget issue go for harrier it won't let you down. And also a thing if you looking for a true of-roader then harrier is with a doubt
- If Jeep have improved upon the initial flaws in suspension and clutch then definitely COMPASS. Harriet is also a great car but a little low on power compared to Jeep despite having the same engine. Harriet 140 hp and Compass 170 hp. On the price front Harriet is a great option. Harriet has proven Land Rover chassis and engine gear box combo is same as in Compass. If you can wait A seven seater Harriet is about to be launched with 170 bhp. On the price front HARRIER TAKES THE CAKE
- Harrier is best far superior product based on land rover discovery platform jeep compass engine. While Harrier will give you suv feel and creta big hatchback feel.Harrier 170 ps is even more powerful than Endeavour 2.0 litre 167ps 4x2 AT and 173ps Fortunar due to 400kg lighter monocoque frame.
- Tata Harrier has the best performance as compare to creta or hector
- Harrier is far much better than Creta , Its stability at road , its power and its design , its space , everything is better ...No comparison between real SUV and stretched frame SUV.
- Bhai don’t ever think of buying harrier as it’s a hopeless vehicle. - If you are looking to buy Creta high-end, it costs around 18-18.5 lakhs on road. Harrier XZ high end is 19.5 on road price (without extended warranty, accessories etc). Specs, looks and engine performance wise Harrier beats Creta in all departments (only Harrier engine is noisier than Creta and has very few ergonomic issues). But make up your mind on if you really need that huge car as Harrier or not. Because it is way bigger than Creta.
- Harrier is the best and it is the beast..creta is a tin can with ugly head lights. Creta is just a 4 seater car and also people with more than 5.8 height cannot sit comfortably. Creta is good for only baby sitting kids . Never ever compare a tin can with stylish harrier.
- Any low end model is value for money. But if you need some quality products in your car then you will have to shel out. Like example. Jbl 9 speakers comes in top of the line with a sub at the back.. But it's sounds amazing.. Car looks good in dual tone top of the line... So as your requirements. See what all options you get. And go for it
- Harrier XT variant is best choice you can go for highher variant if budget is no issue.
- XZ (Top Model) It has all the safety features and different terrain modes
- Tata Harrier have best in class space and seating comfort beacause of bigger Land rover discovery sport platform.
- Very much
- YES COMFORTABLY
- Creta is 1.5 lit engine and Harrier is 2 lit diesel engine. So both are different segment. If you want perfect SUV mid size then go for Harrier. Creta doesn't give the feel of SUV. both are different segment and it is not fair to compare both.
- Can't compere both because creta is Car which is only named as SUV, but is not that really, And Harrier is true SUVSo there is no any chance to compare both
- Creta is expensive car based on i20 platform while Harrier is based on cheaper Land rover platform.
- Harrier comes with 5 person sitting capacity if you are looking for seven seater tata car which has same styling that of tata harrier then wait for some time as tata is launching Gravitas 7 seater version of harrier
- It's a 5 seater... 7 seater is coming soon
- Tata buzzard will come soon with 7 seater
- The Tata Harrier will be available only with a diesel manual at the time of launch. There is no word regarding a petrol engine or an automatic transmission as of now though the latter is expected to be introduced later
- No by year end it might get launched
- Bhai don’t ever think of buying harrier as it’s a hopeless vehicle.
- That's an Additional Option, for which you have to pay extra amount of 1Lakh + approx. It's assembed version not production version pre installed.
- Now, aftermarket you can fit a sunroof... Very soon (next version) it will come company fitted and bigger than the current one!
- 6 airbags
- How many airbags are there in harrier XM
- 6 AIR BAGS
- Thanks for the answer. But my question is, is there a plan to launch petrol engine in near future, if known? I'm more interested in the petrol version as it generates less pollution!
- Perfect for 4 family members and 5 will also do well
- The company hasn't given any uupdates on this.
