The design update has given the KTM 200 Duke a new lease of life. Also, the fact that the new BS6-compliant motor does not lose out on performance almost makes it feel like a win-win. That said, the substantial hike in price means it is now more expensive than larger motorcycles such as the Suzuki Gixxer 250. However, when it comes to thrills, the KTM 200 Duke delivers it in spades! On the other hand, Husqvarna has priced its products below the KTM in India, whereas in other markets the ‘pilens are at a premium. This makes it look past the realisation that the Husqvarna’s fit and finish isn’t all that premium when compared to a KTM. For some riders, the stack of cash saved will also make up for the practicality concerns. In contrast, the Vitpilen speaks softly, but surely. It grabs the attention of passersby, but more importantly, it makes the rider look back lovingly right after he, or she, has hopped off. Incredibly, under its attractive routine, there is actually a bit more of everyday sensibility than you would find on an RC. So, what Husqvarna really stands for today may not be crystal clear, but we know the Vitpilen, and it is a sweet Swede. You may compare both the bikes accordingly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
