What is the problems in apache rtr160 4v?

Faced same issue of shutting down the bike all of a sudden but it was starting after 20-30 minutes, once it was not even started, using starter multiple time resulted into battery failure and had to replace battery. Service center guys did push start of bike to take it to showroom that caused another impact of Display failure, I got display replaced but still there is problem like mode sensor does not work. It's been 2.5 years I am using the bike showroom guys did not even found the solution for bike shutting down issue as well as display issue, they were just restarting ECU and saying might need to replace ECU. Replacing ECU it will change whole wiring of bike. So I gave a try outside garrage , after showing to many people one guy found the issue, he said there would be carbon contamination over piston rings or over valves. So once he sprayed DW40 sprey into outlet pipe, it worked. After 6 months again same problem occurred this time he poured oil into compression chamber. by removing spark plug he poured the oil. This also worked.To get complete rid of the problem we might need to open the engine and clean up engine head and valves.

I recenty bought a TVS apache rtr 160 4v bs6. Its been hardly 4 months but my bike is having some issues.The engine automatically gets switched off while running. Doesnt happen always. Happens once or twice. I paid a visit to 3 service centres but the service centre guys seems to have no clue regarding the issue. I am fed up. Does any apache owner facing the same issue as mine ? If so, please kindly share your review and please let me know if you have found any solution to it. I searched the net..Some say we need to update the ECU if this kind of problems occur. I am confused

Facing the same issue, I have other problems too.... The bike won't go beyond 80km/hr speed. After suddenly gets off in the middle of the road when I start the bike again it throws some white smoke. For the 1st 4-5 months the service centre guys said that it's nothing, it will go off after sometime. Today at 3rd servicing the service engineer said that engine piston may have some fault and drinking the mobil more than normal so need to replace it.

Something bike run smooth but sometimes it start making noise and the rpm suddenly raise in 4 and 5th gear had to shift to 4rd gear to control bike then after pressing clutch in 4th gear rpm increases to 3000 to 3500, and then reduced slowly happened every time

The silencer starts to make weird noises which you can change in warranty, electrical problems in the bike needed to change the coil. Unhappy with this bike.Better opt for Fz or Hornet.

It takes a lot of dirt....if i recall....in rainy season i washed that bike for almost 3 times in a week...and also my shoes though🤣🤣....otherwise its all good

I have bought Tvs Apache 160r 4v in 2019, it has got the worst suspension ever. I have got back pain by riding this bike. Even a 110cc normal bike has a better suspension than this Tvs Apache. Another disappointment is the bad service from thr Tvs, simply they will charge thousands of rupees on service.

I've frustrated because of this engine cut of issue. Every time I'm facing same issue. I have raised complaints on this but there is no response. Till now I have suggested 20-25 peoples to not purchase RTR bike with proof of issues video and i will do same again because of worst customer service.

Hello everyone. The quality of TVS bikes are worst than ever. Totally unsatisfied with My Apache RTR 4V. Engine automatically off issue, Handle alignment gone within 1100 kms only. Their service center guys have zero knowledge. Absolutely dissuasion to this brand.
