Yamaha FZ 25 Latest Updates

After the success of the 150cc Yamaha FZ series, the Japanese bikemaker introduced the Yamaha FZ25 in 2017. It’s a sporty streetfighter with a 250cc air-oil-cooled engine aimed to compete with 250cc bikes including the Suzuki Gixxer 250, Bajaj Pulsar N250, as well as the Apache RTR 200 4V.

Yamaha FZ 25 Price : Yamaha FZ is offered in two colours (Metallic Black & Racing Blue) and comes with a price tag of Rs 1,49,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Yamaha FZ 25 Design : Yamaha has retained the bike’s brawny looks with a muscular fuel tank with tank extensions, split seat and beefy rear tyre. The headlight cluster has been redesigned which makes it look quite robotic, just like the Honda X-Blade. Adding to its sporty appeal are the revised engine cowl and a stubby exhaust with revised muffler guards in the latest version.

Features of Yamaha FZ 25 : The Yamaha FZ25 gets a bi-functional LED projector headlight with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs and a LED tail lamp unit with halogen indicators. It sports a negative LCD display which shows real time mileage apart from the regular trove of information. Another notable feature is the side-stand engine cut-off functionality. The more premium FZS 25 comes with knuckle guards, a bigger flyscreen, golden alloy wheels, and snazzier colour schemes.

Yamaha FZ 25 Engine : Yamaha FZ25 is powered by a single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled, 249cc, fuel-injected engine which produces 20.8PS and 20.1Nm and comes paired with a five-speed transmission. It features a diamond frame which is suspended by a telescopic front-fork and seven-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 282mm front disc and 220mm rear disc, with standard dual-channel ABS. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 100-section (front) and 140-section (rear) tubeless tyres. It comes with a 14-litre fuel tank and weighs 153kg (kerb). It gets a fairly accessible 795mm tall seat along with 160mm of ground clearance.

Yamaha FZ 25 Rivals : The FZ 25 goes up against the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Bajaj Dominar 250. In a similar price range, you can also consider purchasing the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Yamaha R15 V3.0 and KTM RC 125.

Yamaha FZ 25 Variants : The FZ25 comes as a single variant with two paint schemes. Apart from shades, they have similar mechanicals and features.

  • Impressive bike with high torque

Yamaha FZ 25 gives very good braking and the stability is brillant and the suspension is good for both comfort and stability. The finishing is very good but the instrument cluster is not good for readable. It is great also for top speed and it produce high amount of torque and the pickup is very impressive and smoothly and with less price i like this bike. The mid range of this bike is very amazing and it compete with 200 cc bike and is a very amazing bike for both city and for the highway.

  • Good Bike

It offers comfort both in city and on highways, making it a great choice in the 250 cc segment due to its affordability and performance. The mileage is impressive, averaging around 40 on highways and 35 in the city. Its dual-channel ABS enhances braking power significantly, making it safer to ride. The FZ25 is also suitable for long rides. However, its maintenance costs are higher compared to other bikes in its class. One drawback is the lower ground clearance, and it lacks a gear shift indicator. Additionally, it has an oil-cooled engine. I have faced an issue where the engine malfunction indicator lights up after the bike is washed with water.

  • The Affordable Bike

I purchased the Yamaha FZ 25 a year prior for my everyday requirements. It has been a tomfoolery and down-to-earth bicycle. Fueled by a 249cc oil-cooled motor the FZ 25 offers sufficient power for city riding and parkways. the suspension is on the stiffer side however absorbs knocks acceptably. The mileage of around 35 to 40 km is great for a cruiser in this portion. The plate brakes offer great slowing-down execution. the seat is somewhat agreeable. The FZ 25 is a reasonable bike for fledglings searching for a tomfoolery ride. As far as the plan, it looks present-day and engaging, highlighting Yamaha's mark styling. Under the seat, there's a 249cc motor. It's not the most remarkable, yet it's effective for everyday rides and periodic excursions. It is ideally suited for voyaging city roads. Solace-wise, it is intended for both short rides and agreeable. The seat is agreeable, and the riding position is upstanding. In rundown, the Yamaha FZ 25 is a down-to-earth and reasonable bicycle.

  • Awesome Bike

I own this bike, It has been 7 months. It is the best, No bike in this segment can beat this in the city, It has amazing torque. It runs so silently, And when you pull the throttle, It suddenly roars, and everyone starts looking at you, And goes 0 to 100 in 8.56 seconds. It is very comfortable, I have travelled for 6 hours covering about 250 km, and In which last 21 hours I rode it continuously for 50km. Still didn't get back pain or tired. Everything is amazing about this bike except one thing, Which is a self-start. When the engine is hot after running or due to keeping under the sun, it never starts at one self-start, You will have to do 2 to 3 times. Suppose your bike is running and hot and you turn it off, After 10 minutes you again come back and start it, It won't start because the petrol becomes vapor.

  • Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a 249 cc engine. This FZ 25 engine generates a power of 20.8 PS @ 8000 rpm and a torque of 20.1 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The new motorcycle gets an LED headlamp and tail lamp. The bike’s negative LCD display shows the real-time mileage apart from the regular trove of information. Another new feature in the BS6 model is the side-stand engine cutoff function. The FZ25 BS6’s premium variant, the FZS 25, gets knuckle guards, a longer windscreen, alloy wheels in the gold finish, and more premium color options. It’s a well-rounded urban motorcycle dispatching city commutes with ease, but on the open road, it lacks oomph. Whereas, Jawa 42 is powered by a 293 cc engine. This 42 engine generates a power of 27. 33 PS and a torque of 27.02 Nm. Jawa has kept a minimal approach. It has equipped the 42 with an analogue speedometer, fuel gauge, and a small digital patch for the odometer readings while skipping the gear indicator and tachometer. Even the headlight and indicators use bulbs to keep the retro appeal flowing. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision.
