Q. Which is better for City ride Duke 200 or Duke 250? My daily riding will be of 20Km with an average speed of 50kmph. My height is 5'8" and age is 18 year.
  • If you are a beginner level rider, then Duke200 will be the best choice for you. This 200cc machine is no joke and this has some serious pulling power given it is a 200cc engine. the 200 is 30k cheaper than its elder sibling the duke250.i will surely say duke250 will give better mileage when you ride it at 6000 rpm max smoothly. this is because of tuning in the ECU. the power is higher on rpm above 6000. so you need not worry about mileage because both will provide the same in the end.since the duke200 comes with an underbelly exhaust you will love the exhaust sound (i suppose). duke 200 seat height is 20mm lower than 250 which favors you. If you like modifying your machine then you can use that extra 30k to modify your 200cc like adding a fog lamp or changing the mirrors to the bar end which adds to the already sharp and stunning look than just buying a 250cc duke. So you can buy 200cc duke, enjoy your riding and then upgrade to a much higher cc machine like the duke 390 or duke 790 in the future. ENJOY SAFE RIDING:)
  • Hey, I hope you're doing well. About the question, Duke 200 would be a better choice as far as I think. If you are just starting to ride(seriously), Duke 200 is a very good bike. And one more thing the mileage on the Duke 200 is better than 250 by a slight margin but if you look at it in a long run, it makes a huge difference. So, I would suggest you to go for Duke 200 but it'll be your call after all. Happy and Safe Riding.
  • Duke is not meant for under 60kmph it's all abt riding atleast upto 80 kmph. please dnt bite your bait by choosing Duke 200. for your riding style as you said please go with yamaha fz 16 v3. the better commuter.

Q. Which one is the best KTM 200 Duke or KTM 250 Duke in terms of mileage and service cost?
  • The Duke 200 will have better mileage because of the smaller engine, service cost should be similar, however since Duke 200 has a fiber tank versus the metal tank on duke 250, Duke 200 should be cheaper to repair if you crash the bike or have an accident.
  • Service cost is somewhat similar, 200 is economical and there is not much difference in power output, mileage is obviously more on 200.
  • City use mailage low Service cost duke 200Highway use touring.. Mailage 30 or below 30 top end good sliper clutch

    Stock tyres

Its a very good touring machine mostly tarmac friendly. The stock tyres are useless so as the stock headlight. The seat height is the biggest concern also the seat is wide which makes more comfort but flat footing both side impossible for anyone below 5.10.The ride quality and comfort is wonderful and i wish it had traction control which will make is a good allrounder.I can tell you that versys is one of the best touring bike currently available in market at this price band.If someone is looking for a good tourer for road use then versys is the best bet and if you are looking for bit of off-road then v-storm 650 looks better.

KTM Duke 200 packs a punch

Ktm duke 200 packs a punch in the 200cc segment. It's known for exciting acceleration and sharp handling, Making it a thrill for city riding.Surprisingly fuel-efficient too, Offering decent mileage.Head-turner with edgy design and muscular stance. But, The stiff suspension can be unforgiving on bad roads, And the aggressive riding position isn't for everyone.Overall, A great choice for riders who crave performance and excitement, As long as you can handle a firm ride.

    Light weight

It is very fun machine to ride.Very light weight and agile. The modern looks are awesome with the updated 390 headlight.Suspension is on the siffer side.Seat height could have been better as short rides can't properly ride it.I was getting around 30kmpl mileage.Price wise bit over priced pricing could have been better considering today's market.
