The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 has finally graced Indian shores. Team Green has introduced a bunch of updates to the mid-displacement ADV, giving it some much-needed features. Here’s how the new model stacks against the older one:
Visual Overhaul
The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 is easily distinguishable from the pre-facelift model, thanks to its revised fascia. These sharper Versys 1000-derived headlights give the bike a butch appearance. And to complement the new fascia, Kawasaki has given the new Versys 650 a sharper engine cowl as well.

Traction Control, Finally!
The older Versys 650 had nothing to boast of, except for ABS. Now, Team Green has given the 2022 model of the ADV a 2-stage traction control system with the option to switch it off completely.
More Modern Touches
The new Versys 650 finally gets LED headlights, replacing the halogen units from the older model. Furthermore, there’s a new 4.3-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Unfortunately, the ADV still lacks navigation. But, with the new onboard USB charger, you can now charge your phone or GPS device on the go.

Dearer By Rs 21,000
The updates introduced with the 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 has pushed the bike’s price up, from Rs 7.15 lakh to Rs 7.36 lakh (both prices ex-showroom India). However, for everything that the new Versys 650 has to offer, the price tag seems justifiable.
The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 continues to use the trusty 649cc, liquid-cooled, twin cylinder engine making 66PS and 61Nm and even shares its underpinnings with the older model.
