Last month TVS fortified its electric lineup in the country by launching new variants of the iQube: the iQube Standard, iQube S and iQube ST. While all three get better hardware and features than the previous-gen model, the ST variant will feature the biggest battery, TFT screen and fastest charging time too. But there was a caveat. TVS is yet to disclose the price for the top variant, but we now have a ballpark figure, courtesy our sources. Add to that TVS’ website, claiming deliveries commence from August 2022, and here is how you can plan your purchase if you’re in the market for the new TVS iQube.
Let’s begin with the price. Our sources reveal that the iQube ST should cost approximately Rs 20,000 more than the iQube S variant. The iQube S currently costs Rs 1,08,690 (on-road Delhi) post FAME II and state subsidies. So this should peg the iQube ST somewhere in the Rs 1.3 lakh (on-road Delhi, after subsidies) price range. You can pre-book the ST for Rs 999 but TVS also gives you the option to book either the standard or S for Rs 5,000 now and later change your decision closer to the delivery date.
As per the TVS website, we can expect the ST variant to hit showrooms by August. Besides, the standard and S variants will be ready for delivery in around 120 days, which coincides with the ST variant’s delivery timeline. Hence, booking the standard and S variant now, should in theory allow you to upgrade to the ST variant around the same time.
If you’re in the market for an e-scooter that’s loaded with features and offers a healthy range from a single charge, you could either book your iQube today – to catch the first lot of deliveries in August – or, you could take a look at the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X and Simple One.
