TVS has launched the Apache RTR 160 4V and Apache RTR 160 2V with a new black edition. Called the ‘Blaze of Black Dark Edition,’ these are completely blacked-out versions. However these are only available in the base trims of the Apache 160 that gets a drum brake at the rear. In terms of styling, these have completely black-painted body parts including a blacked-out TVS logo, unlike the standard black paint scheme.
Apart from that, both the bikes remain mechanically the same. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition still has a 159.7cc four-valve, air-/oil-cooled engine producing 17.55PS at 8600rpm and 14.73Nm at 7250rpm. The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Black Edition still has the 159.7cc two-valve air-cooled engine that makes 16.04PS at 8750rpm and 13.85Nm at 7000rpm. Both the bikes have three riding modes, LED headlight, and Glide-through technology.
The new TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Black Edition is priced at Rs 1,20,420, and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition at Rs 1,24,870 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The main rivals of the TVS Apache RTR 160 series are the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha FZS-FI and 155cc Suzuki Gixxer.
