I'm getting an average of 30kmpl in mixed riding condition, so I think D400 is better than duke 250, both in terms of power delivery and fuel efficiency

  • Q. What is the exact mileage I can expect in city from Bajaj 2019 Dominar 400 at a speed between 40-60kmph?
    Zigwheels | 5 months ago

As tested by our experts the highway mileage of 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 is 32.29 kmpl and that too in the city is 25.59 kmpl. Although, actual mileage totally depends on the riding style, road condition, tyre pressure.etc. In order to have good mileage output, we would suggest you drive slower. Driving fast can reduce your fuel efficiency by up to 33% if you are travelling above 60 mph. It is best to change gears appropriately and match the gear and the RPM carefully.

  • Q. I am planning to buy a bike but I am confused between Jawa 42 and Dominar 400(2019). I liked the Jawa because of its light weight, low seat height, easy manageability, mileage and peppy engine but hated the waiting period and all accessories to be paid. About Dominar I loved its power, led the headlights and modern technique like upside down fork, 3spark plug, DOHC etc, but I hated its poor mileage and heavy weight which makes it cumbersome in traffic as its not at all nibble. So kindly suggest me which I should go for. For reference my height is 5.5ft and age is 37years but still single, mostly ride solo, the place I live is hilly terrain.

Though the Jawa 42 comes with a 293 cc liquid cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine, the power (27.37 PS) it generated might not give you the thrill that you desire. Fourty-two is a very practical and durable bike with good performance, modern underpinnings and powertrain. The waiting period will surely plunge as they are covering other cities by working behind the scenes to ramp up productions. Otherwise, if you are in a hurry, then the Bajaj Dominar could be a good option with its power and off-roading capabilities for hilly regions but given the height, it would be very inconvenient to handle the bike. So, we'd recommend to wait up for the Jawa as it would be a much better option. • Q. Which is best Dominar UG or Himalayan Sleet or ABS in terms of pillion comfort, reliability, seating posture, brakes, mileage?
    Zigwheels | 9 months ago

If you are looking for a Sports cruiser bike which can perform on the highways as well as the city with a more powerful engine then go for the 2019 Dominar 400. The Himalayan Sleet performs well when comes to the ergonomics of the bikes. The tested mileage of the Himalayan Sleet is 36.26kmpll whereas there are no updates from the brand regarding the 2019 Dominar 400 but it is expected to be around 25Kmpl. Both the bikes perform well when it comes with dual channel ABS. Moreover, We would recommend you to visit the nearest dealership and take the test ride of the bikes so that you may get acquainted with the comfort of the bikes.
