Expert's Conclusion
When you compare it to the well-praised Honda Activa, the Jupiter 110 stands out as a great feature-rich option with a good balance of mileage and practicality. While the Activa 6G has similar features, the Jupiter has a unique edge with its built-in smartphone connectivity features, including navigation. That's why it continues to be our top choice among 110cc family scooters in the market right now.
TVS Jupiter Expert Review
In a world where scooters try to be like motorcycles, the TVS Jupiter keeps it simple. Over the years, it has received several useful updates to stay relevant, ensuring it can hold its own against modern competition. Here’s how it does:
Design:
The TVS Jupiter still looks like it did eight years ago, and it's still charming, at least to us. The colors, especially the Royal Wine one, along with beige details and a bit of chrome, give it a fancy and high-quality vibe. The switchgear, and the panel quality are also pretty good.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
Powering the TVS Jupiter is a 109.7cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine, producing 7.88PS at 7500rpm and 8.8Nm at 5500rpm. The engine is smooth, provides a comfortable ride, and even though there might be a bit of roughness at low speeds, it disappears as you hit 35-40kmph. In our tests, the scooter gave a decent mileage of about 64.1kmpl in the real world.
However, it's worth noting that the 110cc engine may not be suitable for highway rides as it struggles to maintain speeds above 70kmph for a long time. Apart from that, the scooter offers satisfactory performance for city commutes.
Handling & Ride Quality
The Jupiter handles bad patches of roads quite well because of its soft suspension and the 3-step adjustable monoshock. It stays steady and doesn't feel wobbly, even when you're riding over bumps.
Talking about how it handles, the scooter feels quite nimble to navigate in traffic, and the 12-inch wheels give you confidence when turning. The TVS Jupiter stays stable even when you're going around corners at higher speeds, which is pretty cool. Depending on the version, you can have either a 220mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum, with CBS (combined braking system) as standard. The brakes give good feedback.
Comfort
The TVS Jupiter has an upright riding posture that makes the ride experience quite comfortable. There's plenty of legroom, even for taller riders, and the seat is comfortable. The 12-inch wheels make sure the scooter goes smoothly over rough roads. If you go for the top-end versions like the Classic or the ZX Disc SmartXonnect, they have a cushioned pillion backrest for extra comfort.
Features
The TVS Jupiter, in all the variants, gets an LED headlight, an external fuel filler cap, a pass-light switch, and alloy wheels, except for the Sheet Metal Wheel variant (SMW). There's a USB charging port on the front, and you can also choose to have one under the seat. The basic Jupiter has a regular analog instrument display, while the ZX variant has a semi-digital unit. The ZX SmartXonnect models (Disc and Drum) have an LCD screen with smartphone connectivity through the TVS SmartXonnect app, offering voice assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and SMS alerts. The Classic variant, however, keeps it retro with an analog display. With various options, customers have a lot to choose from based on features and functions.
Should you buy the TVS Jupiter?
The TVS Jupiter is a reliable scooter with decent mileage and useful features. While it may not have the best performance, it still provides a smooth and trouble-free riding experience in the city, which is crucial for a family scooter.
In general, the Jupiter is a good option if you want something straightforward, dependable, and packed with features. However, if you're after a bit more performance and even better practicality, you might want to consider checking out the TVS Jupiter 125.

Service cost
Driving is so comfortable and the mileage it gives is 47 per km the service cost is 500 to 1000

4.2Starter button
- the bike is easy to control, And never feels sluggish. The swish cannot be tilted because the rear wheel slips, But this has given me no trouble at all while leaning it on turns taken at 50 km/h or so at a maximum.- the storage is great. On runs into the city or for groceries shopping, The second hook in the footboard area and the huge storage under the seat is brilliant.- the brakes are pretty good, But not overwhelmingly tight.I usually tighten them as far as they will go, But even at the most extreme they don't feel too tight.- the auto-off and on for the engine works great in traffic, But it can catch you off-guard when you're in traffic.Using the starter button will cause it to need resetting.- the trip meter has a, B and f, Which are quite useful, And instantaneous and average fuel economy.Pretty useful feature there.- the fuel filler opening is in the front, Which really does stand out and make it easier to fill.

Super Smooth Scooter
The TVS Jupiter 125 is super smooth, with a very nice pick-up and stability at high speeds, up to 70 km/h. The weight seems perfect. I have reached 80 km/h without any issues multiple times. Secondly, at traffic lights, when starting from zero, you can outpace most 125cc-150cc bikes or scooters, except EVs. The sudden acceleration while overtaking is also very smooth and can be done easily. The only couple of issues I faced after driving 1500 kms are: the petrol sensor is not accurate, so it doesn't show the correct level of petrol, and the shock absorbers are not the best. One has to really slow down at bumps or potholes; otherwise, if driving with a pillion, it touches the base, making a thud sound, and you know that the shockers will be damaged. However, the scooter is extremely smooth on good roads and can be taken for long drives if one can refuel after 130-140 kms on average. The mileage in the city is about 40 km, and on highways, it goes close to 45 if one is driving at an optimum speed of 55-60 km/h. Looks are subjective, but I find it very attractive with its simple but elegant design, especially the front and the backlights, which clearly make a style statement on the roads. Overall, it is a good vehicle to own for married couples with a child as it is comfortable for two adults and a child if mileage is not a concern and you have good roads to drive. Also, the petal disk brakes are pretty good and make you feel confident on highways. I strongly recommend it if one is purchasing this scooty (go for disk brakes option). Boot space is an extra added advantage as two helmets can easily be placed, and no other scooty has this option.

3.8Owning a TVS Jupiter for
Owning a tvs jupiter for over a year has been like sailing through shifting winds – a journey of highs and lows.In the bustling city streets, The jupiter glides like a swan, Effortlessly manoeuvring through tight corners and congested roads. As for its mileage, It's been a pleasant surprise, Akin to finding a pearl in an oyster.Consistently delivering between 50-55 kilometers per liter, It's a testament to its efficiency. However, The scooter's pickup is akin to a tortoise in a race, Requiring patience, Especially during the morning rush.Maintenance costs haven't been a thunderbolt from the blue sky.Regular servicing has been manageable, And spare parts are as abundant as grains of sand on a beach.Yet, Concerns loom over its build quality, Akin to a house of cards in a breeze.Certain components feel fragile, Hinting at a lifespan shorter than expected. In terms of engine performance, It's akin to a steed trotting through a meadow – adequate for daily commutes, But struggles uphill or with a passenger. The engine's hum is as unremarkable as a whisper in the wind, Neither soothing nor irritating. In conclusion, The tvs jupiter is a mixed bag, Akin to a coin with two faces. It Service its purpose in the urban jungle, Offering respectable mileage and agility. However, Like a rose with thorns, It comes with its flaws – the pickup and durability being its achilles' heel.If you seek a reliable and budget-friendly ride for city travels, The jupiter may fit the bill, Albeit with a pinch of salt.

Engine performance
The tvs jupiter is a reliable and practical scooter that offers a smooth riding experience. Its build quality is impressive, And it feels sturdy on the road. The engine performance is commendable, Providing adequate power for both city commutes and occasional highway rides. The fuel efficiency is also noteworthy, Making it a cost-effective choice for daily transportation. In terms of design, The jupiter may not be the flashiest scooter on the market, But its understated elegance appeals to many riders. The overall styling is timeless and practical, With thoughtful touches such as integrated indicators and a clear instrument cluster. However, There are a few areas where the jupiter could improve. Some users have reported issues with the braking system, Noting that it can feel slightly spongy at times.Additionally, While the scooter handles well in most situations, It may feel a bit sluggish when fully loaded or when tackling steep inclines.Overall, The tvs jupiter offers excellent value for money.
