Feature-packed variants of the two very popular scooters go head-to-head

Honda just rolled out the next update for the Activa, and no, it isn’t calling it Activa 7G. Called the new Activa H-Smart, this is the top-of-the-line variant of the Activa 6G and features a keyless system. While this new feature gives a mass-appeal scooter like the Activa a hint of modernity, we question if it’s enough. In order to determine if Honda’s H-Smart is really good enough, let’s use another tech laden scooter and its arch rival for reference - TVS Jupiter ZX SmartXonnect.

Sure, the Jupiter ZX SmartXonnect (Rs 85,673) is more expensive than the Activa H-Smart (Rs 80,537), but the latter isn’t really bringing tangible convenience. For example, while the Activa H-Smart is keyless, we still have to push buttons and turn knobs to open the seat, fuel filler cap etc. On the other hand, the Jupiter brings turn-by-turn navigation, which has more real-world usage.

But, it’s also in the small things where the Jupiter simply does it better. For instance, it gets a cubby holder on the front apron just below the USB charger to charge your phone on the go. Stuff like this makes the scooter experience more seamless.
